I had a serious issue I needed to disclose and address in my moral character application during the admission process to the State Bar of California. Zach not only represented me to completion and admission to the Bar, I could not possibly have faced my issues and made a personal transformation if not for his help. Zach knows what has to be done in such cases, it's up to you to carry out the rehabilitation and making amends for transgressions, but if you follow his advice, you will no doubt maximize your chances of admission. I am forever grateful to Zach for a life-changing opportunity. Thank you Zach.
Mr. Wechsler quickly help me with serveral issues with excellent results. I strongly recommend his services.
I was a true wild child growing up and to tell you the truth, I was still a horrible mess all throughout law school and even after I passed the bar. You name the tragedy… I’ve experienced it. I first went to see Zach in my third year of law school when I realized I would have difficulty getting my license due to my indiscretions. He took one look at me and told me that I had to grow up!! I didn’t deserve to be an attorney in the condition that I was in. And he was correct. He saw right through my façade and called out the lost, broken child that I was inside. But I resisted. I wasn’t ready to give up my ways and change. Long after after my conversation with him, I found his advice strangely lingering in the back of my mind. I knew sooner or later I had to go back to Zach. I knew he would be the one to help me get my license. Years later, I finally visited him again and told him I was ready. And boy, did he put me to work!! I was truly transformed through my experience with him as my guide. The soul work that he made me do was priceless. I began this journey simply wanting a license to practice law, but I emerged a fearless woman with courage and direction. This is a man that knows exactly what he is doing. This is a man who cares and will do everything he can to make sure you get what you want and deserve.
As you can imagine, when learning that my moral application was submitted for additional review and investigation, I was deeply concerned because my law license is my family's livelihood. To say I lost several nights of sleep is an underestimated. I tried unsuccessfully to resolve the issue directly with the investigator. This was a mistake. Just because you are an existing or aspiring attorney does not mean that you have ability to effectively resolve moral investigations with the California Bar. After calling several places and speaking to a few attorneys, I chose Zach for the following reasons: (1) his professional experience including a 4-year term on the Committee of Bar Examiners and also serving as deputy attorney general for California; (2) his incredible responsiveness (something completely foreign to the other attorneys I spoke to); (3) his formulation of a strategy for resolution based upon the unique circumstances of my case as opposed to some generalized "cookie-cutter" strategy; and (4) his unwavering commitment to instill calm and confidence in his clients through perhaps one of the most difficult processes an attorney may go through in their professional career. After thoroughly evaluating my case, Zach made several recommendations in anticipation of preparing a response to the investigator. I yielded to his knowledge and expertise. The matter was successfully resolved, even beyond my expectations. If you are facing an investigation, my recommendation as a fellow attorney is to simply stop, contact Zach and let him guide you through this complicated process. Do not attempt to do it yourself. I am so fortunate to have found Zach. Me and my family are forever deeply grateful to Zach for what he has done for us.
As an attorney myself, I have a little more than average insight into the practice of law, and fellow attorneys. When I had a problem that was a terrible, complex, and extremely troubling, I knew who to turn to: Zachary Drew Wechsler! Mr. Wechsler, helped me resolve my case efficiently, effectively, and professionally. What also sets Mr. Wechsler apart from other attorneys is he really-listens, and has a sincere and authentic care for his clients. Mr. Wechsler is an asset to the legal profession, and I am proud to have him as "my attorney." I very HIGHLY recommend Mr. Wechsler. You will not find anyone more qualified/knowledgeable and considerate in his important and professional area of practice.
Attorney Zachary Wechsler was prompt in calling me back when I left him a message requesting his services. He assisted me all the way until the ethics case was resolved and he was kind and extremely helpful. Throughout he was efficient, he guided me, he communicated promptly with me by phone and email and was easy to reach directly. He knew the in and outs of ethics and answered all my questions, he directed me correctly in resolving the issue successfully with the California bar. I do not think I could have found a better lawyer.
Let me start by saying Zachary is not the cheapest option. He was the fourth moral character attorney I had called, and he charges an hourly rate rather than a flat fee. With that being said, I do not regret hiring him at all, and would not hesitate to do it again or recommend his services to anyone else in my position. His fees are more than reasonable given his expertise and results. He has a direct working relationship with the California Bar, and knew who the investigator assigned to my Moral Character application was before I could even finish her last name. Every other attorney I spoke to recommended pushing my issue out. Zach was able to get my application that had been in limbo for over a year through in a month, after I passed the bar. I have friends who are still waiting for a date for their informal conference. Although he charges by the hour, that doesn't mean he wastes any time. He bills for exactly what he does and takes exactly enough time to get the job done. His expertise means he'll do in 10 minutes what most attorneys take 30 to finish. The bar wanted to delay my application another month after my informal conference. Zachary pulled some strings and I had my approval in a little over a week. He literally saved me my job because I had an offer from a firm that wanted me to start ASAP. Again, Mr. Wechsler is the embodiment of the old adage, "you get what you pay for," in the best way possible.
I had an issue with the State Bar that could have likely resulted in suspension or worse! Foolishly I thought I could maybe handle this on my own, after that first call with the trial counsel, I realized i was out of my depth! Just like with any other highly specialized part of the law, you need an expert if you plan on coming out of a sticky situation with your name intact! Zack was caring, he was the farthest thing from judgmental in a tough situation and really came ready to advocate for me. I was so grateful that I retained him. Zack worked with me to put together the best mediation brief, told me everything to do including signing up for the CTA and Ethics school in advance of my mediation so that the court and trial counsel I was taking this very seriously and I wanted to resolve this matter without the mention of trial! Zack wrote a great brief, highlighting every possible factor in mitigation and urging the Trial Counsel to reduce my charges to that of a private reproval. He pushed the trial counsel in the mediation, he pushed the trial counsel in correspondence. And thanks to Zack's tenacity that is exactly where we ended! Zack had a great bedside manner. During the mediation when we were on hold, he told me stories and engaged in convo to try to keep my mind from running through a million bad results. He has followed up with me and was easy to get on the phone or email whenever I needed. This was quite possibly the best decision I have made in my career. And thanks to him mine won't be impacted.
I was officially sworn in two days ago. I wouldn’t have been if not for Zach Weschler. I had some issues in my past that I needed to explain to the bar. Me. Weschler had great experience in this field. He guided me step by step and made sure the process was simple to understand. I would recommend him to anyone having moral character issues. He is affordable especially for the expertise he brings.
How to best describe Zach's representation? I cannot do it justice with just these words but I am going to try. I had a serious Moral Character issue from my long-ago past that I did not disclose to my Law School. It resulted in a lot of personal trauma and damage throughout the years - it was exceptionally painful for me to confront the issue with myself and worse- talk about it with other people, let alone the State Bar. I was terrified. I was convinced that I wasn't going to get admitted not only because of the nature of the offense but also because I did not disclose it to my Law School. I thought I was wasting my time, money, and emotional bandwidth even trying- but I had finished Law School, passed the Bar, and now this was the last step so I just had to move forward. When I first spoke with Zach, he put me at ease right away. He could not, of course, guarantee any results but he instilled confidence in the process and in my chances. He also made me feel better about what I had done (which I had been punishing myself for for several years). He was so supportive from that first phone call and throughout the entire process. There were several points where I wanted to give up, but Zach kept me going! He listened to me and was completely present in every conversation. If he was not sure about something- he would let me know. He would let me know what was an issue and what was not an issue (trust me - I did a great job coming up with about 1000 non-issues). He was more than just an attorney - he was a therapist, a friend, a coach, a guide. He has been doing this for a long time and is extremely experienced. I knew exactly what to expect at every turn. The initial submission was a lot of work (let me be very clear- a lot of work), but there is good reason - Zach anticipates every possible question the Bar could ask, every view they could take of every piece of information and ensures that it is explained, all gaps are closed. The results are that the process, once underway, is relatively smooth - I received only 1 follow-up from the Bar and it was a standard follow-up. Also, while I would have been extremely satisfied and would have recommended Zach's representation no matter what the result, the result even ended up being amazing - I received a positive determination! Feel confident knowing that Zach will fight for you. No matter what your issue is, feel confident that Zach will help you take your best shot!

Feel confident knowing that Zach will fight for you. No matter what your issue is, feel confident that Zach will help you take your best shot!
