About
A native of Burgaw NC, Zachary grew up the child of career educators and learned early in life what it meant to give back to his community and neighbors. Zachary was blessed to have excellent legal mentors early in life who inspired him to pursue a life in the law as a way to help people. Zachary began his community involvement through the Boy Scouts of America and attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 2005.At Methodist University (Fayetteville, NC) Zachary continued his civic and community involvement through his work as a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Greek Life Judicial Board, Student Court (Chief Justice), Student Government Association and as a member of the Honor Committee.In law school Zachary continued to give back through his work with the ASL Cares animal welfare club as well as representing abused and neglected children as their Court Appointed Special Advocate in the 29th Judicial District of Virginia.In 2010, the voters of Pender County, NC elected Zachary to a term as a Soil and Water Conservation District Superintendent in a write in election. Zachary served in this capacity until leaving to pursue law school.Zachary began his legal career with the prestigious civil litgiation firm, Britton Law, P.A. in Fayetteville, NC but the desire to leave the "elevator lawyer" lifestyle and return to his home was so strong that Zachary left the firm for the Law Office of R. Kent. Harrell in December of 2015. Zachary thoroughly enjoys helping his friends, family and neighbors at home in Pender County.When out of the office Zachary spends his time with his fiance, their dog and two cats and enjoys travelling, golf, reading legal and historical fiction and non-fiction and watching NASCAR.Zachary brings a strong desire to help others in their time of need and will stand with you through every step of the stressful legal process."Our courts have their faults, as does any human institution, but in this country our courts are the great levelers, and in our courts all men are created equal."- To Kill a Mockingbird

Mr. Rivenbark did a wonderful job for my son with a speeding ticket (90mph in a 70) and reckless to endanger. I couldn't believe the outcome and for a very good price. My son only got Improper equipment for the speeding and Mr. Rivenbark got the reckless to endanger dismissed! This could have been ugly with loss of license and or fines. Mr. Rivenbark saved the day for us. He was very courteous, willing to help, had great advice and always replied when I would email or call him.
