Mr. Wilson is listed in the Best Lawyers in America for Immigration Law, The International Who’s Who for Corporate Immigration Law and The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers.   Mr. Wilson was recently named the Best Lawyers' 2013 Buffalo Immigration Law "Lawyer of the Year". Only a single lawyer in each practice area in each community is being honored as the “Lawyer of the Year". Mr. Wilson was also selected for inclusion in New York Super Lawyers—Upstate list, an honor reserved for those lawyers who have shown excellence in practice. Only 5% of the attorneys in New York each year are named to the Super Lawyers list. In addition, Mr. Wilson is a frequent speaker on various immigration issues at AILA and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) conferences, and he serves as an Immigration Board Guide on Martindale-Hubbell’s lawyers.com web site.  Mr. Wilson currently serves as a Panel Member on the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM’s) Global Special Expertise Panel. SHRM Special Expertise panels provide expert advice on matters of professional significance to the SHRM Board, volunteers, members and staff. Mr. Wilson previously served on SHRM’s Corporate Social Responsibility Sustainability Special Expertise Panel. Mr. Wilson has authored articles for American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and other publications. He authored “TN’s for Computer Professionals Under NAFTA” for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA)’s Immigration Practice Procedure Under The North American Free Trade Agreement , 2nd Edition and “TN’s for Non-Degreed Professionals-Part of the NAFTA Family” for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA)’s Immigration Practice Procedure Under The North American Free Trade Agreement , 3rd Edition. In addition, Mr. Wilson authored “Living in America: A Canadian’s Guide to Understanding U.S. Immigration Law” for CCH Canadian Limited’s Cross-Border Relocation Law. He has also authored articles for Computerworld and International HR Journal. Most recently, Mr. Wilson authored a chapter entitled “Recent Changes in Employment-Based U.S. Immigration Law-Current Challenges Facing U.S. Employers Who Sponsor Foreign National Employees” for the Aspatore Books, A Thomson Reuters Business 2011 Edition of Inside the Minds: Employing International Workers. Mr. Wilson graduated from Ridley College in St. Catharines, Ontario, received his B.A. degree from the University of New Hampshire and his J.D. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law.
