About
Many of my clients, when first considering an estate plan, are confused, anxious and overwhelmed. I am here to reassure each client that this process can be handled personally, professionally and affordably. Stilley Law Office, LLC provides personal legal services helping people navigate the complexities of estate planning, elder law and probate and trust administration. I work to tailor each client's estate plan and affairs to their own individual and unique situation and needs while making the plan as concise as possible. I am passionate that estate planning is a multi-generational process. While there is a time and place for crisis planning, the goal at my firm is to plan for the future. All too often, younger generations fail to plan for the future. My firm is located conveniently in Eastern Jackson County at the crossroads of Independence, Lee's Summit, Blue Springs and is very close to Raytown and Kansas City. This makes it very convenient without the need to travel downtown to acquire quality, professional legal services.

I had tried to sell my house through a real estate company with no luck. I decided to try to sell my house by myself. Within a week I had an offer. Bill was able to handle all of the for sale by owner paperwork. He looked over contracts and explained everything to m; he made sure I was protected during the process. I plan to use Bill for my estate planning, I trust him completely. I know he will explain step by step the process, to make sure I am happy and satisfied when we are finished.
My mother had Mr. Stilley create estate documents for her after the death of my father in 2002. When her health started to fail I took over her financial affairs (as I had power of attorney) and Mr. Stilley helped me understand my range of authority. Once she passed away in 2013, he worked with me to settle her estate. Since I live in central Missouri we communicated mostly by telephone and e-mail. His responses were usually timely and many of my questions did not require an immediate reply, so e-mail worked fine. He seems to have a busy practice, and if I needed a more immediate response I would call the office and if he was not available I could always get a response within 24 hours. I found his fees reasonable, think his work is good and I would use his services again.
Bill is a well versed attorney that I have used in various business environments and requests. I hold him in the highest regards and would recommend him without hesitation.
Bill made wills for both Carol and I. He explained everything as to what he needed to complete ours wills. We were able to review and correct before the final was signed. We are completely satisfied with his service.
Mr. Stilley assisted my husband and I as we began considering who would best be suited to be Executor of our estate. He was thoughtful and respectful of our unique circumstances. Mr. Stilley provided us with answers to our inquiries and helped to bring us peace with our decision.
I have been working with Mr. Stilley on my Mothers estate and he is very pleasant to work with. This has been a much better experience with his advice. It is obvious he has heard it all and has the answer you need from experience. I have already recommended him to friends and hope to use his services for years to come.
In late 2006 my wife was losing her battle with cancer, and upon the recommendation of our accountant, we contacted Bill to create some wills and trusts. He impressed me as being very knowledgeable in those areas. He accomplished my tasks efficiently and within the estimated time frame and cost. More recently I used Bill to update those documents and again I was highly satisfied. I would recommend him and his office staff to anyone.
