But I will give you the shorten version. My husband and I have been married for almost 18 years now and we applied for his green card in 1999. I contacted this office because I was referred to them by a few friends who had dealt with them. The initial consultation went great, and that is why I booked an appointment for Michael to work on my case of bringing my fiance to the US. Paid $1000+ in lawyer fees and he reassured me that I will have to do nothing once the process gets going. After we filed, I alone followed up with the case. Once it goes approved, I contacted NVC on my own. I had to contact the embassy on my own to correct an issue the lawyer made a mistake on. Once it was filed, we were literally on our own. I contacted the lawyer for advise, but he never gave me any real advise and didn't help me at all. A few months after the case was approved and AFTER my fiance received his visa, I was contacted by the law office to ask if we wanted to proceed past the approval stage. I made it very clear to them that I worked everything out ON MY OWN and if I had waited for them, the petition would have expired. Very disappointed that we spent all that money when we could have just dealt with it on our own.
