About

Kimberly has dedicated her entire career as an attorney to the litigation of civil and injury claims where she has represented only plaintiffs. Prior to forming Owens & Miller, Kimberly was a Trial Attorney within the Personal Injury Division of a statewide high volume television marketing injury firm based in Raleigh, NC. During that time, she handled hundreds of cases with most of the major insurance carriers. Not only has Kimberly settled numerous cases, but she has also tried jury trials around the Triangle including Wake, Durham, Harnett, Johnston and Cumberland Counties. Kimberly has appeared in numerous other counties across North Carolina. Kimberly is very active in the advocacy of motorcycle safety. She has a special love for representing persons injured in motorcycle collisions. She has completed motorcycle safety courses through Accident Scene Management, Inc. This is a group of motorcyclists that teach bystander assistance for motorcycle accidents. She has been a regular speaker at their courses, providing insight into legal issues affecting motorcyclists such as North Carolina’s Good Samaritan Laws and motorcycle insurance coverage issues. During the past several years in representing motorcycle accident victims, she has learned that many motorcyclists are not properly educated on how to properly protect themselves from negligent uninsured and underinsured motorist. She has spent much of her free time meeting motorcyclist across the state and teaching them on what types of coverage they should carry.  Kimberly obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University, back when it was still in Buies Creek. In law school, she pursued Campbell’s Trial Advocacy Track, which is a program that specifically trains future attorneys to litigate cases. Before attending law school, she received a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy Analysis from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Kimberly’s current practice includes but is not limited to Complex Civil Litigation, Personal Injury Claims, Wrongful Death Claims, Tractor Trailer Collisions, Motorcycle Injury Claims, Worker’s Compensation, Premises Liability Claims, and Social Security Disability Claims.
