Mr. Meili replied to my initial inquiry promptly while showing a vast knowledge of not only UQRs, but also the Army system as a whole. While many attorneys may come off as smug and pretentious, Mr. Meili was seemingly down to Earth and enjoyable to converse with. Although I had a plethora of questions, some perhaps even obvious, Mr. Meili took the time to answer them all in suitable detail. The Army does not provide a suitable option for ones own legal needs, and in my case refused to give me any sort of advice, answers, or representation. However, that was a blessing because it forced me to look elsewhere. Give him a call and judge for yourself.

I spoke with Bill he was honest and candid to the point and very knowledgeable with the statutes and regulations as it relates to UQR and ADSO. If you are need of an attorney who is honest and knowledgeable, I would recommend Bill because he will fight hard to ensure that your separation and swift and just.

Bill was great to work with. He carefully listened to my problem with the Navy and helped create an action plan to navigate my legal troubles. He was very accessible and explained possible scenario outcomes. In the end, I got the resolution I wanted and I'm thankful that Bill was with me along the way to shine the light in the darkness.

Attorney William C. Meili is a retired Judge Advocate General Colonel. He knows very well the workings of military law and its cumbersome bureaucracy. I came to Attorney Meili with a request for his assistance in getting my Unqualified Resignation (UQR) packet moved up the usual bureaucratic chain. Until then the packet had stalled and was sitting at the Human Resources Command. Prior to working with Attorney Meili I attempted to contact HRC for multiple weeks seeking a status on my UQR. When I finally received a response, HRC's answer was not encouraging. I feared that my UQR would not get approved in time and worse, that it could even get rejected. As soon as I spoke to Attorney Meili he began working to assist me. From that moment, it had been a few hours before Mr. Meili had an accurate picture of who had my packet and what was needed to get it up the bureaucratic chain. After speaking to Mr. Meili for the second time, I hired him to assist me in getting my UQR approved prior to my school start date. To attend medical school I needed my packet to get approved, at the latest, by August 2021. It was already late June when I contacted Mr. Meili and time was of the essence because HRC had informed me that, unless there was a change, approval was not expected until November- December. Mr. Meili started working hard on my case, giving me daily updates of the status of my packet. By the first week of August he succeeded in getting me discharge orders. HRC remarked that my packet was one of the fastest UQR packets to go through HRC, G1 and the Assistant Secretary of the Army’ procedure. Mr. Meili knows very well what is required to get through the Army’s bureaucratic process and his legal understanding is admirable. I owe huge thanks to Mr. Meili and his help. In large part because of his help, I can now attend medical school to pursue my dream. I give a 10/10 score to Attorney William C. Meili and his office for his efficiency, honesty and diligence in getting the work done.

I hired Mr. Meili to help me with a case of unqualified resignation from the Army National Guard. I had been trying to get discharge orders for 1.5 years by the time I contact Mr. Meili. After he came on the case, I had discharge orders in about 2 months. He was incredibly knowledgeable about UQR situations and an excellent communicator. Mr. Meili went above and beyond our contract to help and support me. I am very grateful for all the time and effort he put in to my case.

I have known Bill over 20 years in a business relationship. When I needed an attorney for a DWI he was the first person I wanted to talk to. From the moment we spoke I knew he would take extraordinary care of me and he did. His knowledge, respect from Prosecutors, Judges and others in the Judicial system was evident and worked in my favor. Because of his knowledge and contacts he was able to get my charge reduced from a DWI to a class B DUI. I will recommend him to my family, friends and colleagues for any type of legal issue they may have and know that they will be handled with respect and care by a fabulous attorney who knows how to get the best results for his clients.

I am very grateful to Mr. Meili in coaching me on proving my continued value to the Army. The government was set to separate me through a Board of Inquiry (BOI)/ Show Cause despite my long career of contributions. Mr. Meili’s communication was direct and up front. He told me that I had a 50/50 chance to be eliminated and not retained. Nevertheless, Mr. Meili firmly believed in me throughout the process, and reminded me to be myself which positively impacted my confidence. Mr. Meili was correct, and when the time came for me to stand up in front of the board members, I was fired up to convince them that I could continue to be a great asset to the Army. Mr. Meili was calm and convincing to the point that he had the board members’ full attention and nodding their heads in agreement while he was speaking. As a result the board members were tolerant of my mistakes and decided to retain me. Thank you so much Mr. Meili; you will forever have my recognition and respect. Client wishes to remain anonymous

Bill offered me an extremely generous (and free!) initial consultation on a military/administrative law question. He called directly less than an hour after I initially emailed him with my question. We spoke for an hour and he did not hold back in offering his considered professional insights and recommendations. He was thoughtful, listened to my concerns, and offered his unvarnished opinions in a straightforward and professional manner. I really appreciated his approach - and we even had a few laughs about shared experiences! He was also up front about his fee arrangements, but did not pressure me to "sign up." I may or may not ultimately need to retain Bill for his legal services, but I feel strongly based on our initial consultation that I could so without hesitation and with confidence in him working on my behalf. Thank you, Bill!
