Chip is the Section Head of the firm’s Real Estate group, which consists of over 30 attorneys in Dallas, Houston andAustin, Texas. His practice focuses on real estate, hospitality andhealth care companies with respect to a variety of real estate,corporate/securities and general business matters. In his career, Chiphas represented investors, developers, private equity funds, RealEstate Investment Trusts (REIT's), management companies, lenders andcorporations in the acquisition, financing, development, leasing,management and sale of office, retail, multifamily, industrial,hospitality, health care, seniors' housing and residential properties.Chip has particular experience in the formation of partnerships, jointventures and funds for the investment of capital in real estateopportunities.In 1999, Chip joined one of the firm’s privateequity clients as a Principal. While there, he handled public andprivate mergers and acquisitions and securities transactions from boththe business and the legal perspective. Chip also handled the formationof the firm’s investment funds and many of the firm’s administrativefunctions. Chip rejoined Munsch Hardt in 2002. The time Chip spent as aclient focused on a broad spectrum of financial, investment,operational and other business concerns, in addition to complex legalissues, has given him a unique perspective about how to serve clientneeds.
