About
Westbrook has practiced nothing but criminal defense for over 10 years. She loves what she does. She works hard and gets great results for the people she represents. Westbrook believes the key to achieving a great outcome is making sure her clients set their own priorities, understand their options and make fully informed decisions. Every client is different and as a case develops Westbrook counsels clients to help reach their personal goals.Westbrook has been in a courtroom five days a week for 13 years. She’s practiced in almost every court in western Oregon. She began her career as a judicial clerk working for judges in Lane County and Multnomah County. As a clerk and certified law student for a public defenders' office during law school she was mentored by excellent experienced attorneys who taught her how to fight the government from the trenches. She next practiced in Marion and Multnomah County handling thousands of criminal cases. She understands how judges view cases and how they make decisions. She gets immense joy catching the police behaving badly and dishonestly. She strives to know more about the case than anyone else in the room. Westbrook knows that jurors want to be guided and they don’t like feeling tricked. Her goal is to get the jury on your team and her clear no-nonsense approach is effective in that regard.Westbrook will fight for what is just and fair. The government starts with the upper hand but with hard work and knowledge she can tilt the scales in your favor.

Three years ago I was wrongfully convicted of crimes I did not commit. After winning an appeal I was assigned Westbrook. I was a problem client, I did not wanna wave my sixty day speedy trial rights to give her more time to work on my case all I saw was the thirty months I had been wrongfully imprisoned. Westbrook did her best and actually won my case and got me released from custody. After watching my previous attorney just roll over and show his belly during the first trial, it was refreshing just to see Westbrook fight, veraciously for my rights, to defend me with a tenacity of someone who honestly cares about doing their very best. I would say hands down Westbrook is the best lawyer in Oregon.
Westbrook is super knowledgeable in the law and works extremely hard to get the best possible outcome for her clients. I’m very satisfied with the way she handled my case. I highly recommend her-she is the defender you want on your side.
