About
I come from what you would call a “broken home.” My parents divorced before I was 2, which meant I grew up experiencing first-hand what I now know as “family law.”My parents lived in different states and from as early as I can remember, I boarded a plane every summer to go see my Dad. I watched as my Mom struggled to make it as a single mother, battling for child support before there were state guidelines. My parents did not do well at co-parenting, which I often felt the brunt of. As an adult, I gained the maturity to see things through each of my parent’s eyes, and I came to understand why things were so messy for them:At the heart of it all was their love for me.Before entering law school, my heart was calling me to family law. I wanted to be someone my clients could come to, confide in and know had their back.Often in contested family law matters, the person you trusted the most has now become your adversary. That can feel very lonely. I strive to make my clients feel safe, heard and supported throughout their case. My hope is that all parents can learn to co-parent together because it truly is what’s best for the children.

I searched many law groups and attorneys and found the Merna Law group offered the best price for my situation. When I first met with Pamela I was pleasantly pleased with the entire process. Not only was she straight forward with her presentation, she was professional, yet friendly enough to make me feel a solid connection with her as my representative and her firm. She was always available and did not sugar coat any answers, even if the response was not positive. I always knew what I needed to know and felt she had my back. I would recommend her to anyone for assistance with financial hardships. Outstanding job Pamela, thanks so much!!
Ms Allen was very professional as well as very caring. My husband passed away on Feb. 27 and by the middle of April I knew I was in trouble having lost over half my income when my husband passed. She not only helped me cope with the loss of my husband of 44 years, but helped me tremendously with everything involved with filing a chapter 7 bankruptcy. She made it bearable with dealing with all the emotional and financial problems of everything happening all at once. I could not recommend a better lawyer to help people who are going thru a financial crisis as well as a personal crisis. You will be in excellent hands if your hire Pamela Allen as your legal counsel.
When first meeting Ms. Allen for a consultation and then further legal work I knew I met someone I could trust and feel comfortable with. Bankruptcy is pretty straightforward, but having someone like Ms.Allen on your side made me feel very relaxed and confident of this stressful experience.
I want to start by saying, I usually never write reviews. However, the service we received by Pam Allen was above and beyond. She was professional and showed genuine concern for my situation. I had gone to two other attorneys that said they could not help me. She responded quickly to me and never got frustrated with all of my questions. Mrs. Allen was able to help me change my life and move forward in a positive direction. My hope for anyone is to find the right person that can help them like I did. Mrs. Allen comes highly recommended!
Ms. Allen helped us through our bankruptcy process. She was knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. When we had our meeting of creditors, all of the people who went before us had other attorneys, and all of them had some sort of issue. When it was our turn, it went so smoothly. We were so glad we hired the best.
Ms. Allen left creditors off of our bankruptcy which resulted in us being sued, failed to respond to our emails which resulted in a dismissal of our case, went missing for 2 months, and currently can not be found. We had money from the trustee which was taken by the Merna firm (John Merna is now claiming that we owe them and has refused to speak to us). John Merna kicked us out of his office for attempting to discuss the fees and the reason for our case dismissal and refuses to accept any responsibility. John Merna advised us that he has intellectual property attorneys who will have this removed. The reason I chose them was due to the lack of complaints, but now I see why they have no complaints. John Merna threatened to sue us if we told these facts to the public as we are doing now. John Merna is refusing to uphold our written agreement and/or return money that in our opinion, is not rightfully theirs. In our opinions, these attorneys are highly untrustworthy and unprofessional, I would not recommend either of them to anyone. I could go on and on, but I have more sites to warn consumers on.
