My god where do I begin. I screwed up really badly. Driving over 100 mph to see my gf whom I hadn't had a conversation face to face with in three months. I was pulled over and given two citations: careless driving which caries a 3 point penalty and a $90 fine; and a maximum speed limits ticket that carries 5 points and $255 fine. This was the second time in 10 months I had received a maximum speed limits ticket (I know, extremely stupid, and most would agree that what I was charged with was fair and perhaps not strict enough). As a 20 year old chemistry major, having over 11 points (which is what I would be looking at) means a suspension as well as most likely being dropped from the insurance company until my driving record was clear (12/3points per year + 1 year without any driving citation = 5 years till my slate is clean).
