My experience with Todd Smith was very pleasant and professional. He was extremely knowledgeable and when we went through mediation, his expertise paid off. His office staff responded quickly and were very helpful. It was comforting that I had the legal representation that understood what was due to me. I would highly recommend Mr. Smith and his office team.

I hired Todd for my divorce with kids. There were things that I thought I was entitled to and I should have, but he was straight up honest with me and was honest about what I could realistically expect. I had met with other attorney who basically just told me what I wanted to hear. I ended up hiring Todd and he and his staff were amazing. Todd and his paralegal answer emails after hours and on the weekend and will also call if it was something I was worried about. I really felt like they had my best interest in mind and most importantly kept me from freaking out over stuff that my Ex was telling me. My Ex was trying to scare and bully me about what I was going to get and not get and how it was going to be. Todd and his staff were very real and transparent and it was comforting to know that I had this team on my side! I also had a friend who went through a divorce and Todd was the attorney for her Husband, and she said she wished she would have hired Todd first... before her Husband could have, because he was smart and put on his case very well. Also, at the conclusion of my case, he discounted my bill- because he wasn't trying to "take my money" - that was a nice and unexpected gesture that he did not have to do and I will continue to use him as my attorney in the future, should I need one! I would highly recommend Todd to represent any of my friends and family in a heartbeat! He is real and makes you feel very comfortable.

Poor excuse for a lawyer! He was COMPLETELY unprepared in the courtroom. He had no notes, no documents, no exhibits, NADA. He was totally winging the whole thing. He had the nerve to reach over and take documents that I had brought in and try to present them, but because he had never even seen them, he was clueless as to what he was looking at. He knew nothing about my case, his paralegal knew more than he did. Todd actually damaged my case in multiple ways, and now I'm left trying to repair it. If I had known that he wasn't going to do his job, I would have been prepared to do it myself. Everyone in that courtroom could see how unprepared he was; fumbling, stuttering, nothing to say, and even saying totally irrelevant, worthless things just to say something . He left me uninformed about things that were going on and things that I should have been doing. In one of our phone conversations, he told me that he was doing a "high-profile murder trial and didn't have time". Another meeting with Mr. Smith prompted him to tell me, "Wow, blonde and smart"!?. Many people have told me to file a claim against him, but at this time I am a single mother of 4 going through a high conflict custody battle and attending college and there is now way I can afford any more court fees, nor do I have the time or energy to put into fighting this unethical "lawyer". Please heed my warning, I would hate for anyone else to go through what I've gone through. He talks a big game, but letting this man represent you is a decision you may regret.

I was giving a business card with no response to my phone calls! I gave two numbers to reach me, and I have not received one call! He was supposed to represent me on Oct. 15, 2013, Mr. Smith was not there, someone else replaced him. I talked to the man, and he told me how to contact him. I have not been able to contact him! On Dec. 16, 2013 I had another hearing, Mr. Smith was there, and he told me the number was correct and he asked for my number ( I GAVE HIM 2 NUMBERS). I have not been able to contact or get any response from anyone!

Florida Barr TFB File No. 2009-10,696 (6B) Notice Under Rule 3-7.4 Summary Procedures..Rules violated 4-1.1 (Competency) Rule 4-1.2 (Objectives and Scope of Representation) Rule-1.5 (Fees and Cost for Legal Servics) Rule 4-15(a) (Excessive Fees) and Rule 4-3.1 (Meritorious Claims and Cotentions) Upon review of my case the Fla Bar did dertermine the above to address. We now have to do a fee arbitration. He said he would return the 7,500.00 then decided some of his work was presentable. I would not retain him again.
