I would never expect a lawyer to convince a client to plead guilty, worrying he MAY be found guilty and serve more time. Do yourself a favor, shop elsewhere or have a judge appoint an attorney he knows will give you 100%
I hired Walt Salens to represent me in an LLC dispute. He was prompt in sending me invoices after we consulted in his office, but he was NEVER prompt in returning my phone calls. It got to the point that I would go to his office unannounced and catch him by surprise if I needed a question answered. When we went to court, he spoke about 10 words and seemed oblivious as to what was going on. He had that "Deer in the Headlights" stare. His "Legal Representation", along with the written decision on the case by Judge Knoblock has caused me to lose faith in Lawyers and the US Legal System. If you hire him. don't say I didn't warn you.
pre trial meeting basically consisted of me dropping of retainer check. Didnt seem to have any interest in fighting my case, just wanted my money, and push through to a plea to be done. Will inform anybody who inquires to look elsewhere.
Terrible Attorney, Overcharges. Has no consideration for his clients. It's his way or no way. Doesn't have enough experience on how to win cases. In criminal and probate cases he sides in with the other side. Don't hire this attorney. We hired this attorney to represent us and he down right left us flat, holding the bag, after he thought he lost our case. We hired another attorney who had to pickup the scrap he left and won the case.
