Trey was very straight forward and professional with me about my personal injury case. I will not go into too much detail here, but the short story is that you will quickly learn that Trey has been around, he knew the system, knew exactly how much to ask for and stayed very professional throughout the case even though he looked super comfortable with the Judge. :) A long story short is that I did not even want as much as he was able to unearth for me. He showed me that it is not wrong to fight for life changing reimbursements. I may be slightly different than others now, but I was able to regain most of my confidence thanks to Trey. So thank you Trey!
Mr. Piersall represented me in reckless driving case. I hired him over the phone because my case was 2 hours away and I needed a lawyer that was in that area. I researched him and from the reviews online he seemed like someone I should call. He was a little dry over the phone, but he seemed confident he could get my charge dropped to improper driving or dismissed. He called me the day before my court date to let me know that he would be late, but he had let the courts know and I still needed to be on time. I arrived at 10:57am and sat in the court room assuming Mr. Piersall was not there from his previous call. When the case got switched to a new court room he stands up and starts asking people if they are me. I stand and our first face to face interaction was him telling me he's been calling me (no cellphones in court?) and he thought I never came. He doesn't say hello, he walks ahead of me, does not hold the door for me, and is just rude. It seems like I am a bother to him and I am wasting his time and he has somewhere else he would rather be. I understand lawyers are on the go, but his behavior was as if I hadn't paid him $750 to there or that I was the reason the court was behind schedule and he was late to his next check. I mean client. It was almost like he thought he was doing me a favor by being there and I was the one who owed him when in fact my bill had been paid in full before the court date. When we finally get up to the judge he takes loooooong pauses like he is trying to remember where he is, looks the judge blankly in his face without saying anything (awkward), and just says from the facts of this case it seems like improper and the judge said the same thing and thats what I got. I specifically asked him to get me driving school so it wouldn't go on my driving record. He never even brought that up to the judge. He just took what the judge said. When I asked him about driving school after we walk out of court he rolled his eyes and said this isn't going to affect your insurance just pay the fine. Bottom line I had never been in an accident or gotten a reckless driving charge before. I've never needed a lawyer before. I was terrified and Mr. Piersall was not a good first time lawyer. I paid this man a lot of money expecting him to do what was best for me. He did what was best for his schedule that day because as soon as the case was over he talked to me for all of 3 minutes and was like see ya. He made $750 in one hour of sub par service. If you are a first timer I would find someone who isn't so busy to act like they care about what is going on with your case and how you're dealing with everything. I would not recommend him and if I ever need a lawyer again he will not receive my business. He also disputed my review but this case was at the Chesapeake Circuit Court in 2015.
