About
Victoria "Vicki" Antion Nelson - Vicki is nationally known for her work on behalf of asbestos victims in West Virginia. Vicki concentrates her practice on individuals who suffer from mesothelioma and lung cancer. Vicki manages and prepares consolidated, multi-party asbestos cases for trial. She also serves as a consultant for attorneys throughout the country regarding asbestos litigation in West Virginia. Vicki has represented hundreds of West Virginia workers and families during the last twelve years of her career. She is a West Virginia native, experienced in fighting for the rights of individuals and family members devastated by asbestos related disease. Vicki handles all aspects of litigation, from initial client meetings to national expert preparation, depositions, motion practice, oral argument and, ultimately, case resolution. Vicki has prepared asbestos cases out of a majority of industrial sites in West Virginia and surrounding states and has developed an expertise in asbestos defendants in power plants, steel mills and chemical facilities. She has also worked up numerous household matters and asbestos coal mine and mechanic cases. During law school at the West Virginia University College of Law, Vicki served as an intern with the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons. She then worked as a graduate assistant with West Virginia University's Student Legal Services and the University's Office of the General Counsel, where she supported the General Counsel and staff on matters involving higher education law. Following law school from 2003-2005, Vicki served as a clerk for the Honorable Ronald E. Wilson, Chief Judge in West Virginia's First Judicial Circuit and Judge responsible for the mesothelioma and lung cancer docket in West Virginia. In 2005, Vicki’s legal career began at the firm Motley Rice LLC. Her practice primarily focused on asbestos litigation. In 2014, Vicki left Motley Rice and founded her own firm with Scott Mcgee, Antion McGee Law Group, PLLC where she continues to focus on asbestos litigation.
