About
Ms. Vasquez attained her under-graduate degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, B.A., in May 2002 with a double major in English and American Studies. During her time at USC, she completed a semester of study abroad at the University of Sussex, Brighton, England in the Spring of 2001. Having been adopted as an infant, Ms. Vasquez’s desire to become a lawyer was inspired by the tremendous sense of gratitude toward the family law attorney who represented her parents through the adoption process. She attended the California Western School of Law, in San Diego, CA, with a concentration in Child, Family & Elder Law. While there, Ms. Vasquez served as a Volunteer for both the Center for Community Solutions – Domestic Violence Clinic, and the Legal Aid Society of San Diego – Guardianship Clinic, and participated in the Pro Bono Program as a Student Law Clerk for San Diego Family Law Facilitator’s Office. She completed a legal internship with the Law Office of Stanley J. Bacinett, a family law practitioner. Ms. Vasquez received her J.D. in May 2005 and was admitted to the State Bar of California on December 1, 2005. A deep-seated desire to work with families initially drew Ms. Vasquez into juvenile dependency law, where she assisted parents in the emotional process of reunifying with their children. That experience prepared her for family law, where emotions run high and families strive to adjust to life after divorce. The key drivers of Ms. Vasquez’s approach to serving her clients are compassion, a great love of working with people, and the desire to achieve the best possible legal outcome for the client while preserving important familial relationships. Ms. Vasquez is a Member of Orange County Bar Association, Family Law Section, and the Orange County Women Lawyers Association. She and her husband, also an attorney whom she met in law school, have two daughters, and they sponsor a 13 year old boy in Sierra Leone.
