My greatest attribute is the ability to fully invest myself in my clients. To a client, this means that I will do everything possible to understand your needs, to stand up and advocate for your interests, to fine tune every detail of documents created on your behalf, and to secure a favorable outcome in your case. I understand that when a client comes to our law firm, they are often feeling stress, whether from a difficult family issue, being a defendant in a criminal matter, or trying to plan for the future of their loved ones. My goal is to alleviate as much of this stress as possible by providing a clear path and a helping hand through difficult legal matters. My prior professional experience has paved the way for my transition into the practice of law. While living in the Washington, DC area for five years, I fine tuned my negotiation skills by serving as an advocate for government contractors in complex price negotiations with the federal government on product and service contracts. The art of negotiation comes into play often in my practice, and whether working on a separation agreement, consent order, divorce settlement, or directly with a district attorney in a criminal matter, my goal is to secure the best possible outcome for my clients. After moving to Charlotte, NC, I worked in with Wachovia Securities/Wells Fargo Advisors as a financial advisor. My finance experience, combined with my degree in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill, lends itself nicely to my law practice when discussing assets and retirement accounts with my Estate Planning clients, and when working through financial documentation in child support, alimony, and equitable distribution cases. My time as a financial advisor also taught me the importance of protecting the interests of those I represent, listening closely to the needs of my clients, and the role communication plays in a trusted professional relationship. The lessons and skills learned from previous experiences are the pillars of my law practice. The actual foundation of my law practice is following the golden rule. I understand that during tough times, people need and deserve accessible advocacy and personalized attention, and that any time a client calls or sends me an email, a response is anxiously awaited. I therefore make it a point to always keep my clients consistently updated on the status of their case, and return all phone calls and all emails on the same day received...no excuses.

Where to even begin... I was going through an extremely tough separation and custody battle for over 2 years. When I called Bill I had already been through 3 different lawyers all of which did nothing for me and charged me through the roof. I met with Bill after my call to him in Oct. 2015 we sat down came up with a plan and worked to execute it. Within 4 months of working with Bill Hunter my custody agreement was done and signed off on by the judge. Not only did Bill work diligently with my case, he was by far the best communicative lawyer I've ever worked with. Last but definitely not least Hunter & Hein were reasonable and worked with my financially. I truly cannot say enough about the 2 of them and how over pleased I was with my experience using them. If your looking for a lawyer who is on top of his game, continuously updating you, very responsive, reasonable with fees, and who truly has your best interest at heart - I would not hesitate to give Bill Hunter a call!
