About
Valerie B. “Val” Foley (Huber) is a Virginia Beach native and graduate of Frank W. Cox High School, where she played defense on the varsity soccer team her junior and senior years. Val is the daughter of Vern, a retired Navy Captain, and Gail, a special education teacher, and she is the second of four siblings. Val graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. From there, she went to the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond, where she graduated magna cum laude. Val spent her law school summers interning first at the Naval Legal Services Office in Norfolk, Virginia, and then at the Chesapeake Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office where she used her third-year practice certificate to handle misdemeanor appeals. After graduation from law school, Val joined Powell & Parrish, P.C. in Richmond, Virginia, as an associate attorney, handling various traffic, personal injury, and workers’ compensation matters. In 2006, Val returned to Virginia Beach as an associate attorney in Willcox & Savage’s domestic relations/general litigation section. Val transferred to Willcox’s Norfolk office in 2007, where she spent the next two years defending corporations against asbestos personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits. Prior to forming Foley Huber, P.C. (now Foley & Foley, P.C.) with Bo Foley, Val worked for Ventker & Warman, PLLC, where her practice focused on maritime law and general litigation.
