Was assigned to represent me in a medical malpractice suit involving the death of my husband. During much of that time she was out on maternity leave. Never felt she connected with what the impact of my husband's death was to me or my family. Towards the end of the suit, I was told that I would have no choice but to dismiss it, despite the fact the hospital was responsible for his death (he was taken to the ER with intermittant confusion by ambulance and wondered out of the hospital ER only to be found 3 days later after falling down an embankment). After much heartwrenching thinking and a second opinion at the time, I agreed to a dismissal. Later, I was told that the hospital would not allow a dismissal unless i did it with prejudice. Not being aware of options, I agreed to it. I soon found out she didn't give me any options as she was preparing to leave the practice and wanted to wrap things up. I have sinced found more evidence, that I could have produced had I been given the time. Now my family and I are struggling to keep the only home that my children have known. We basically lost everything. Because the case was dismissed with prejudice, there is nothing I can do as I see this medical center continue to grow and not take responsibility for what they did to my husband
