Late last year I was in the process of purchasing the small animal practice I had worked for, from my then-boss (let's just call my former boss "TB"). Tyler Jones came highly recommended from my financial advisor to help set up the sale and lease paperwork. Tyler made it very much a two-way process. He heard my side of what I wanted out of the sale and included my feedback in all revisions. He made sure I understood what was going on, what was going to be expected of me, and what I was getting out of it. He took the time to go through everything literally line-by-line with me in a way I could understand. He had my back every step of the way especially toward the end when communications with TB seemed to be breaking down. There was some particularly difficult maneuvering regarding the bank's requirements about the lease. Then, after the deal was taken care of, a question came up from TB about a specific part of the lease that he disagreed with. Not only did I feel confident in stating something from lease both paragraph and line, that verified my point, Tyler emailed TB's attorney for me to get it straightened out so there were no more questions on the matter. Even though this was overall a stressful and difficult time for me I felt supported the whole time. Tyler's services were absolutely worth it.
Tyler was extremely knowledgeable and communicative. He gave thoughtful and thorough counsel, he was prompt in answering questions via phone or email, and he completed all tasks asked of him efficiently and effectively. On top of that, he's a really easy going guy who always made sure that I was comfortable before proceeding in any direction. Tyler is someone I would have a beer with (if he wasn't my lawyer).
I worked with Tyler in acquiring a dental practice. He has helped me through each and every step, from start to finish, and his expertise has helped me negotiate just the right terms. He is easy to get a hold of, responsive, and he listens to your goals and desires and helps to obtain that. But most importantly he is a great person and wonderful to work with.
It was my privilege to work with Tyler who assisted us with purchasing and transitioning a dental practice. Throughout the 4-month process, Tyler had been responsive and organized in communication among parties. He could push hard (e.g., reviewing revision of Purchase Agreement overnight) when we needed him to. And when the deal took an unexpected turn towards the end, he came up with some creative solutions and took ownership in getting everyone to the agreement and resolution. At the end, he even took the lead in corralling all parties (seller's attorney, bank, landlord, and escrow) and orchestrate closing for us. His extensive experience in helping medical / dental clients also brought us referrals to various vital services (e.g., accountants) which was invaluable for the first time practice owner like us. He's an absolute pleasure to work with. We couldn't have done it without him!
If you're thinking of hiring an attorney for your practice purchase, hire Tyler! We hired Tyler to work with us what we thought was relatively a usual case of buying a practice but it turned out to be a difficult and long running transaction. Tyler was not only extremely knowledgeable regarding the laws but he explained it with such simplicity that it made the whole process easy. He proactively advised on where should we pause the process on his end to help optimize for costs given the length of transaction. Tyler had a great sense of urgency and was very responsive on emails as well as phone calls. He stayed on top of the case throughout and continually kept me up-to-date. I had an overseas travel during the transaction given it was so long. During that time he went way above and beyond to help us by keeping an eye for any new issues/surprises coming up regardless of if it directly related to his work or not. He was there truly to help close it! I couldn't have asked for such down to earth, easy to converse with, awesome attorney!
I recently retained Tyler Jones to handle the purchase of a dental practice. I found Tyler's insight into the intricacies of this transition to be indispensable. He was always available by phone. If he didn't answer himself, he got back to me very quickly, often within minutes. He has a very congenial demeanor that makes him very easy to relate to. His expertise and knowledge in this area quickly gained my trust, and the practice sale went through quickly and without problems. I would definitely recommend Mr. Jones for anyone considering a dental practice transition.
