Troy is an excellent attorney who works very hard to get you the results you’re looking for. His reputation as a family law attorney speaks for itself!
Troy DeMuth of GS has been my representative for over 2 years. He handled my divorce proceedings (mediation) with tact and professionalism. He is thorough and patient. Although no one ever wins in the break up of a family, Troy will hold your hand and walk you through the process. He even follows up to make sure that your post divorce life is protected with Last Will and Testament, Living Will and any other protections that are available that you may have forgotten.
Mr. DeMuth has been my attorney for just under eight weeks, and my second in Kentucky. While the first attorney I hired sold me on his "good ole boy" charm and reputation of a "bulldog attorney", after receiving my business, he hardly responded to my emails, and quickly passed my file on to another attorney - an attorney whose website made it clear that family law was not one of his areas. That relationship lasted 3 weeks. Mr. DeMuth on the other hand is consistently responsive, straightforward, and considerate regarding use of time in respect of his clients' fees. Perhaps most of all, Mr. DeMuth is remarkedly unruffled. In fact, bulldog when describing an attorney is no longer appealing to me; methodical and calm is, and this is essentially what Mr. DeMuth represents.
I hired Troy along with Megan to overturn a case of domestic violence. In the initial meeting Troy assured me overturning this frivolous DVO charge would be no problem. My ex-wife had a much lower caliber attorney yet Troy was not at all able to get the promised results. I had a bill of sale for the gun allegedly used in the incident. Troy enthusiastically said, no problem. I will get this taken care of but at the last minute retracted. He did help me gain custody of my son but he was oversold himself and underperformed leaving me with a DVO on my record forever which proves frustrating in today’s job market.
