About
Tracy Miller is a civil litigation attorney practicing in the areas of Family Law and Estate Planning. She is admitted to practice law in Maryland and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Howard County Bar Association and many other prominent speciality bars in Maryland. Tracy attended Hampton University as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Scholar and graduated with Honors in Biological Sciences. After graduating, Tracy conducted biomedical research at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine before embarking on a eight year career in the pharmaceutical industry. Tracy later obtained a Masters in Business Administration with Honors from the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business which included international studies in Asia and Europe in Management and Finance. Upon completion of her Masters, Tracy transitioned from pharmaceuticals to healthcare consulting and joined an international consulting firm in Washington D.C. Initially desiring to practice health law, Tracy applied to law school where she developed varied legal experience through diverse internships with, Johns Hopkins Hospital Legal Department, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, the Attorney General’s Office and the Public Defender’s Office. In an interesting twist of events, Tracy developed a strong passion for family law while serving on the Family Law Moot Court team, and for family law clients while serving as a student attorney for the University’s Family Law Clinic. As a student attorney Tracy provided pro bono representation for victims of domestic violence and persons of limited economic means. Upon graduation Tracy continued her legal development by working at private family law practice in Anne Arundel County. While at the firm Tracy was able to deepen her knowledge and experience in the vast family law practice area and was promoted to an Associate Attorney and given the opportunity to litigate varied family law cases. With the utmost amount of gratitude, knowledge and experience gained from her prior firm, Tracy opened her own family law practice. Her office is located in Columbia, Maryland near The Mall at Columbia Towne Center. Tracy provides representation for divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, protective orders and many other areas of family law. She also provides assistance with estate planning, recognizing that when parties divorce, one's estate plan typically changes. Tracy is committed to community outreach and continues to provide pro-bono representation to persons with civil disputes through various legal organizations in Maryland and Washington D.C. She is a Big Sister with Big Brother Big Sister of Central Maryland, and a participant with the Maryland State Bar Association’s Membership Committee and Storybook Project at Jessup Correctional Institute. Tracy was invited to speak at Ladies First, an organization dedicated to mentoring young ladies in middle school, on becoming an attorney and the role of women attorneys. Tracy cherished the opportunity to inspire potential future attorneys. Tracy plans to use her law practice not only to provide legal represenation to those with domestic issues but also to educate the community about family law, and to volunteer her legal services. Thank you for taking time to read the About Me section. I hope you find my practice to be the right fit for your domestic legal needs. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you and to provide legal assistance during this challenging time.

Thanks to Tracy, I was able to secure the financial and health care benefits for my disabled son. We ended up doing all of the legal work due to opposing counsel being highly incompetent.
I recently retained Tracy Miller to represent me in my divorce. She was very professional and knowledgeable in the subject. If there was something I didn’t understand she took the time to explain it to me so I understood what was happening in every step of the process. I have a child with special needs so most of the time I couldn’t sit down and take a look at documents that were sent to me by e-mail until late in the evening after my child was settled in. If I had a question with the documents I would send an e-mail not expecting to receive a response until the next day. To my surprise I would usually receive a response the same night or if it was a Friday evening I would receive a response over the weekend. This was a tremendous help for me and I truly appreciated the extra mile she took to accommodate me. My case also involved an out of state real estate property. Tracy wasn’t familiar with the laws of that state, but she went the extra mile to research the laws and reach out to the correct people and get things wrapped up with my property. I would highly recommend Tracy Miller.
