For over 20 years, Tonya worked as a paralegal in the field of personal injury and workers' compensation.  She obtained her Associate's Degree in Legal Studies from Commonwealth College, graduating magna cum laude.  She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies from Bellevue University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA.  She then obtained her Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating cum laude.  Tonya is married with 3 children and 7 granddaughters.
