Both of my siblings conspired to cash in on our 103- year old grandmother's property and hid the deed while I was living outside the USA, thinking I'd never find out. They did not report our father's assets upon his death to the courts, also as not to have to share them. When it became evident that I could not trust my siblings, I hired Mr. Mensah to represent my interests. Early on, Mr. Mensah encouraged us to negotiate without legal intervention to protect the estate funds, but my siblings refused. It took four years for them to see the light and to act to stem continued losses. My sibling's attorney saw their case as an opportunity to take advantage and billed them without regard. Mr. Mensah on the other hand, spoke directly with the opposing attorney in the presence of my siblings and me and made it clear that only the attorneys stood to gain if we did not negotiate a settlement. The opposing attorney discouraged my siblings throughout from any talk of settlement. Mr. Mensah was always exceedingly well prepared in court, did his research and was a formidable opponent. He strategically laid the groundwork early in our engagement which resulted in the successful settlement we were ultimately able to reach. Without Mr. Mensah's skillful strategy, expertise in litigation and overall integrity, we all may have walked away with nothing. Due to his care and concern for both parties, the estate funds were not exhausted by legal fees but rather, both sides parted with a fair settlement. Had Mr. Mensah not prevailed and pressed for negotiation and settlement, this case may have ended quite differently. I have great respect for Mr. Mensah, his professional ethics and strong legal background I and would recommend him to anyone in need of estate planning or litigation!
