Amie Martens was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Criminal Justice from Indiana University, Bloomington, where she graduated in 2004. After graduating with distinction, Amie attended Indiana University School of Law (McKinney), and was prosecuting criminal offenses as a certified legal intern with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office before she had even passed the bar. I only got to meet Amie in person one time and as soon as i met her, I could see that she genuinely wanted to help me. My trafgic case was so full of whacky and zany stuff and she was able to sift thru the nonsense and get right to the core of the issue. The court was intent on sending another person to jail who had no business being there and she stood up for me as if I were someone that was related to her. Also, I lost my job due to a felony conviction 10 years ago just as I only had to pay $125 and she has been lenient with payment and she is looking into trying to get it off my record. She is a caring person, and she has the same idea about humanity that I do. To help those who truly need it. Its probably not professional but I'd put myself out there to say that I truly do love her as a person
