About
Todd is a founding member of the law firm of Heideman Poor. Prior to forming the law firm of Heideman Poor, Todd operated his own practice, Todd served as a law clerk for former Denver District Court Chief Judge Larry J. Naves, and for former Denver District Court Judge Christina M. Habas. Todd also gained valuable experience working as an intern for the Denver District Attorney’s Office in 2007 and for the Denver Center for Crime Victims in 2006. Todd’s background and experience have provided him with the knowledge and ability to provide high quality legal representation for all of his clients. Prior to entering the legal profession Todd spent over twenty years training and teaching boxing and martial arts. Through his training Todd understands that preparation, discipline, knowledge and focus are the keys to success in any undertaking. Todd grew up the son of a homicide detective and a social worker and, at an early age, developed a desire to devote his life to helping others. Todd treated me with respect and was responsive and professional. He fought hard for me and I ended up with a great outcome. I would highly recommend him.
Mr. Heideman has represented me on a few criminal cases. Each time, he in extremely professional, realistic, honest, and provides me with options, those of which lead to results tend to be fulfilling.
I have had to use Mr. Heideman for a custody case, a divorce and a juvenile case. Todd was very involved very concerned and very professional with all of his information I made out well in all three cases. I do and would recommend him to anyone needing a lawyer. Also with enough notice if you need a ringer for a softball game he's pretty good at that too.
Mr. Heideman helped me quickly obtain majority custody of my daughter in a difficult custody case. He was well prepared and always available by phone or email to answer my questions and concerns. He is a knowledgeable and highly skilled attorney. His diligence, preparedness, and knowledge of the courts saved me thousands of dollars and got me majority time with my daughter.
Todd is the best. He makes sure you are prepared for every court hearing. Todd is a great strategist pre and post court, he helped me win my case on the first court hearing. I would recommend him to anyone. :).
Though our contact with Todd Heideman was basically a long distance one (we live 1500 miles away), he was very responsive as he represented our son in a case in the Denver area. He kept us informed on a regular basis and responded to our concerns (which were many, due to Colorado's shameful legal system), in a timely manner. My wife and I would recommend Todd Heideman to anyone needing the services of a lawyer.
Todd saved the day. I was looking at a pretty serious sentence when I met Todd. Due to his diligence, hard work, knowledge of the system and since fence concern for my situation I was able to get half of what I deserved from the Judge. You can expect Todd to show up early, stay late and make the court work for every thing they want to throw at you. He is a shark out for justice.
We hired Todd to handle a family members DUI/DWI accusation. Even though the case was in a different county Todd did a great job working with the local DA in bringing the case to a mutually agreeable conclusion. Todd kept all involved up to date with the progress of the case and provided useful consultation and recommendations.
Although I really liked Todd as a person and as my lawyer , I did have a few issues . Though he certainly was a more professional lawyer than my ex had representing him , I felt that he did not properly fight for me . I had little communication with him until right before my hearings. Opposing counsel asked my income to be imputed. With no basis to impute . My lawyer stayed quiet and did not object . My income was imputed, resulting in a very low child support figure. I have had horrible financial difficulties for the past year. Once my final order was in place he told me " well you can file an appeal " and went on his way . I have been fighting the court system for over 7 months Trying to get transcripts of that court hearing. Trying to get the proper child support. Trying to enforce child support and custody. Now my ex has taken my children without my permission despite a court order. I feel like I have no consultation as he has dismissed my case. Getting a lawyer is very expensive. Thousands. And while I think Todd is a good guy , he is just an okay lawyer and I needed the best and so did my kids
I put all my faith in this man even when my family questioned his ethics. I was sentenced to 3yrs community correcectins on a felony marijuana charge and was assured by him I would only do 1/4 of my sentence and receive parole and be able to return to my family in Tx where I reside which was not true as there is no parole from community corrections. Before court dates he would go weeks without communication before only returning my call after me asking if he was still able to take my case. Very un professional the judge even scolded him during sentencing for not making proper communication with pre-trial. I feel now I would have had better results with different representation. One has no idea the feeling of loss and confusion until your ripped away from your family at the mercy of a court that doesn't know what your truly about due to mis representation.
