About
I graduated from Cornell University with a degree in aeronautical engineering and Ohio State with my law degree. I am married, with 7 children, a Navy veteran(serving as an engineering officer on a destroyer escort during the Vietnam era) and active in my local church, the chamber of commerce, local development corporation, and arts council. I have served on numerous not-for-profit boards of trustees. The guiding principle of my life has been to help others. I feel I owe a tremendous debt to my parents, who survived the depression and especially to my father, who fought in WWII, and sacrificed so much to give me the opportunities I've had. I spend time with my clients trying to identify solutions that honor all that are involved and create, for each of them, an awareness of the legacy they are creating. As my good friend, a funeral director, always says, "There's no U-Haul hooked to a hearse", I try to point out the higher, enduring goals one can attain with carefully directed and developed estate plans. And, when the situation involves medical emergencies, we move quickly with home or hospital visits to help clients attain quick, decisive results. Character and faith base are the touchstones for my staff and our services.

Tim is extremely knowledgeable concerning estate planning. I have consulted with him on many different cases and he always knows the answer! He has almost 40 years of experience which means there are not too many situations he has not encountered which makes him my number 1 person to consult.
Mr. Timothy Stonecipher and his team helped me through a very difficult time after the death of my Mom. Their work on my behalf was outstanding. As I discovered, the probate paperwork and procedures are very unforgiving. However, with Tim's knowledge and guidance, the entire process involving my Mom's estate and the probate court filings/proceedings was completed with minimal effort on my part. I cannot convey to you, in words, how great it felt to have that burden lifted from my shoulders. Tim and his team have my highest recommendation.
Mr. Stonecipher was extremely helpful with my mother's finances. All issues were taken care of promptly with professionalism and kindness. We will definitely seek his assistance in the future.
Mr Stonecipher has been my attorney for several years now, and has helped me with several issues. Tim is my first phone call when i need some advice and he always has the time to speak with me and directs me in the right direction even if he cannot help me with my situation he refers me to someone who can. Tim is a very Honest, pasionate and caring person. He will continue to be my attorney for many years to come.
What a roller coaster ride! With out Tim, we would have lost our parents house. Medicaid is constantly changing their laws and without having an elder attorney like Tim we were on a direct collision course with Medicaid. The average person is not aware of how and Medicaid works until it is too late. Our Dad passed away in 2004, when Dad was given less than six month to live Dad said "don't let them take my house". We did a quick claim deed putting the house into Moms name. Mom was in excellent health. Medicaid laws were changing, realizing this we knew we had to get the house out of her name. I made my Dad a promise that I would protect and watch over her. In June of 2006, after two years of trying to to convince her to get the house out of her name, she did. Then Medicaid had a two year look back, now it is 5 years. Two years ago Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Without Tim guiding us through the hills and valleys would would be lost. Around every corner there were battles. Are we doing the right thing? If we make the wrong decision all would be lost. So many laws, procedures, policies. All we wanted to do is protect Mom, make sure we do the right thing. We were with in weeks of reaching the five year look back date, Mom turns ill ends up in the hospital, spends 4days in the hospital, the hospital tells us your mom has demenshia, she does not have an acute physical illness, she is not Medicare eligible, we need to turn her over to Medicaid. This means we loose her house all her assets, this includes life insurance policies. Yes, life insurance goes to Medicaid not to you. This is another hurdle Tim helped us get over. We almost lost the policies that were going to be used for funeral expenses. I owe alot to Tim, his experience, his knowledge, his reputation in elder law and most of all his passion for helping and protecting our elderly generation rights. Everyday I hear how my friends, their friends have lost assets and houses of their parents because they were not aware of the red tape our government has in place to recuperate Medicaid expenses. I highly recommend Tim when it comes to Elder Law he came to me highly recommended and he is a top notch attorney and is very affordable.
Timothy provided excellent service, discussing and explaining everything to me, and most importantly, kept me up dated. He was very knowledgable and it was a pleasure working with him
I became familiar with Tim Stonecipher through our membership in the Rotary Club of London, OH. I found Tim to be an individual who was very enthusiastic about the club and the good we can do for the community. I worked withTim as he donated has time and legal expertise to the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate, making sure that all areas were clearly understood and legally correct. I was impressed with his professional demeanor the thoroughness of his work. My wife and I had been making plans to update our wills and we knew that this was an area he specialized in. The final product we received was a very clearly written, easily understood set of documents that explains our wishes. Our experience with Tim has been very rewarding.
When I had questions concerning the estate of my elderly parents Tim quickly responded with comprehensive information. The speciality of Elder Law is growing rapidly and it is important that you affiliate with the best. A relationship with Tim accomplishs that. Joe
Tim Stonecipher is handling my Father's legal affairs and assisting him with getting VA benefits. These VA benefits are not well known, but provide invaluable assistance when you can no longer live independently. Tim is great to work with and extremely knowledgeable! One of the most amazing characteristics of Tim is his genuine interest and care for the elderly. About two years before my Father became his client, I was working through my Father's legal issues. I had talked to a local assisted living facility that had recommended Tim for his work on VA benefits. Tim provided me with a free consultation regarding the VA benefits.
