I can't thank Tim enough for being available on short notice and being extremely helpful during my hearing review. It's not something anyone enjoys going through, Tim handled it very well, very professional and I'm very grateful.
When you are dealing with a divorce as a plaintiff and have a difficult, unstable and unpredictable defendant as I did, you want someone by your side who deals with what is happening as opposed to a bunch of hypotheticals. I say that having had a very different idea of what an attorney does in a divorce, an idea derived largely from my honorary law degree from Law and Order University. I was internally awash in what if's and how can we's, because I was frankly scared for my child's safety and the direction things would take generally. Mr. Leahy guided me on how to keep my end of business by the book, consistently allowing and documenting access and visitation, while maintaining my own need for guaranteeing safety as much as possible. I had to know what my limits were and what I was not going to compromise on. Thankfully all those were well in line with what family court likes to see happen or not happen. For the entire process, we played by the books and just let the court process generate the next steps to take. I found Mr Leahy to not be excessive with motions and in fact only did what was truly necessary. Where I really came to appreciate him was when defendants attorney treated me with some hostility in a conversational setting where that was not at all expected. He did not even remotely play into the drama. This is very useful when you as the client are trying to keep your emotions in check. His treatment of defendants counsel was always respectful, friendly and very matter of fact. He never strayed from this, no matter how strange things got, and they got pretty strange due to defendants non participation in the process. His overall vibe is calm, steady and drama free. I would encourage anyone going through a divorce with a difficult person to always stick with what is most important in your goals and get yourself an attorney like Mr. Leahy who will maintain consistent strategies to accomplish them.
I want to say that I had great support from Mr. Byrd from Tim Leahy and from Valerie Anias, especially from Tim. Tim would listen to me give me advise, when I was down or happy he would try to get my spirits up. The office of Byrd and Byrd has now have my total respect on what they do to help their clients. They treated my family with respect and treated them like they were friends. Tim great job and thanks for being there for me when I needed your help.
Divorce is never easy, but Mr. Leahy made the process as easy as possible. From almost immediate repsonses via email to actually hand filing court documents, you can tell Mr. Leahy really cares about his clients. He explained every detail of each step, and was patient with every question or concern that I had.
For the past several month's, i've been going back in forth with my rental community for faulty (and recently discovered hazardous/illegal installations) water heater issues. I spoke to Mr. Leahy and he explained what my options were and the benefit of each one. The tone and conversation with him definitely let me know that I wasn't "stuck between a rock and a hard place" with trying to see what my legal options were when it comes to resolving my issues.
Timothy Leahy is the best attorney in the Maryland. He is very knowledgeable and compassionate. Although, I was very difficult to work with Mr. Leahy not only remained professional he also delivered. I am not easily impressed but, hands down he is best attorney ever! If you are looking for an attorney that is going to put your best interest first; look no further! Thank you again Mr. Leahy I am very grateful for your help!
Tim's professionalism, persistence, and ability to convey nuanced legal issues both to me and my family were of great comfort and support during a protracted, contentious and complex estate property partition case. I could not have asked for better counsel, and am truly satisfied with the results.
Very competent and well prepared for trial. Mr. Leahy has handled several cases for me and has performed above expectations every time. His staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
Tim was very knowledgeable of the law in the area of challenges to prenuptial agreements. His early assessment of the case was correct. Showed knowledge and experience.
Tim was very quick to respond to my inquiry. He was very honest in his knowledge concerning assisted living and payment issues; seeking advice of colleagues to furhter assist me. He was empathetic to our desperate situation and strived to get us answers quickly. I would recommend him.
