was referred to Mr. Engelmeyer by a colleague of mine and was assured by a few people that he had worked miracles for them (DUI charges) and that he was worth every penny. At first, my experience with him and the office was pretty great. Mr. Engelmeyer was communicative, prompt, even enthusiastic about getting helping me with my charges. After a couple months however I hadn’t heard anything until I started receiving very rude voicemails from some lady telling me that my payment was due, which I took care of immediately, in full. After a couple months, I needed to get ahold of him on a few occasions— to ask simple questions that would have taken 15 seconds for him to reply to but instead I was left feeling confused and nervous for weeks at a time. Eventually, without any notice from Tim, someone named Emily responded to an email and had sent me mail with his firm’s letterhead. Bottom line- she Apparently took over my case and was even harder to get a hold of. When my court date rolled around, she showed up alone and scared me to death by saying I would probably end up owing thousands of more dollars and had not heard anything of this until three seconds before i saw the judge. Afterward, her comments to my mom and I were vague at best although She had made sure I had a year to do my community service hours. My Mom immediately noticed how unorganized she seemed and clearly didn’t know very much about my situation at all. Not comforting. Then got a letter In the mail a month after my court date saying that my probation and been revoked because I did not complete make me service hours on time. Her emails regarding this issue confirmed she did not remember anything from my case as she asked me why I hadn’t turned in the papers on time. Overall this experience, for the price and stress, has absolutely been poor.
