In 1995, the Governor of the State of Washington appointed Timothy Bradbury to the King County Superior Court bench from which he is now retired. For his judicial appointment, he was rated exceptionally well qualified (the highest rating) by the Washington Womens Bar Association, the Loren Miller Law Association (the African American bar assn), LEGALS PS (the LGBT bar assn) and the Hispanic Bar Association. He is rated AV (highest rating) by Martindale-Hubbell, a national attorney rating organization. He received his law degree from the University of Chicago in 1972. He also has an MA from Roosevelt University and a BA with honors from Washington State University. Admitted to practice in the State of Washington (1972) and the Western District for the Federal District Court in Washington (1972). Trustee, Seattle-King County Bar Foundation. Board of Directors, Seattle-King County Bar Association. President, Vice-President and Treasurer of the Young Lawyers Section of the Seattle-King County Bar Association. His civic activities include serving as a civilian member of the Seattle Police Disciplinary Board (1978-1982), board member of the Historical Commission for the Pike Place Market, counsel to Allied Arts, board member of the Factory of Visual Arts, member of the Betty Bowen Committee (Seattle Art Museum), chair of the Collectors Forum (Seattle Art Museum), and member of the Judicial Ethics Committee of the Washington State Bar Assn. Founder of Volunteer Attorney for Persons with AIDS. He also served as the chair of the Washington State University Honors Program Visiting Committee, a member of the national advisory committee for MDA and National Endowment for the Humanities grantee (1981).
