Tim assisted our nonprofit in issues around employment law. It was clear he had experience and was knowledgeable about how issues facing an organization of our size. He also ensured I understood the reasoning behind policies to ensure we didn't make future mistakes. I would highly recommend him to another organization.
I cannot say enough about the Bosson Legal Group, Tim Bosson, and their steady, sure legal hand. Tim has guided me through rough seas each time I’ve needed it – offering wise counsel with a human touch. My company and I have faced three tough contract negotiations – one in 2013 and two very recently. Each time Tim has guided us through, energetically representing our interests and proposing a fair resolution that got us to the finish line. When necessary, Tim offers a firm, uncompromising approach: In 2013, an independent contractor pursued a frivolous lawsuit against my company, and Tim hit right back. He secured us a favorable judgment in short order, tossing the matter entirely out of court. Tim’s judgment and legal instincts have been extraordinary down through the years, each and every time. Thank you, Tim!
Tim Bosson represented me in a case brought by a hostile, dishonest, and aggressive opposing counsel. His calmness, his competence and his honorable behavior in the face of it all helped me to keep a lid on the emotion and to keep "doing the next thing" throughout the process. He continually helped to refocus me on the important issues and helped me to do the difficult work of ignoring the personal attacks and hostility. He was quick to seek additional advice and expertise, careful about the details, responsive to my concerns and fears along the way, reassuring about the aggressive tactics of opposing counsel, and took the time to explain the process to me. His behavior made a stark contrast to the behavior of opposing counsel, and helped me to stay focused on the issues and outcomes that were most important to me. The litigation was painful and difficult, but it made a difference to have a true advocate by my side during the process. Professionally speaking, Tim is skilled, thorough and talented. He is also a calming, reassuring presence who takes his clients' interests seriously.
I highly recommend Tim Bosson. He has helped me with numerous projects from helping establish a non profit properly to writing and reviewing operating agreements, and providing regular support with answering legal questions. He is friendly, extremely smart, and reasonably priced for his services.
I have used Tim Bosson for both personal matters and business matters. Tim is honest he will tell you what you need to hear not what you want to hear. He is extremely knowledgeable in the laws what can and can’t be done. Tim Bosson and Bosson Legal Group have assisted me in the past and each time I was extremely satisfied, I have referred Tim to friends and family and I will definably use him anytime that legal assistance is needed.
I hired Tim Bosson and the Bosson Legal Group to represent my business in a construction contract dispute for a project in McLean, VA. I had been sued for $100k+ and an equal amount in attorney fees. Tim did a great job of representing me. He knew my business had limited funds and crafted a litigation strategy to keep costs low while still presenting an excellent case. When the Fairfax County jury came back with a verdict - we won on all counts against me. In the end, Tim billed me about a 1/4 of the other side's fees and presented a much better case than they did. I highly recommend this Firm for any civil litigation matters.
I hired Mr Bosson to represent me in an employment matter. Immediately after contact was made by Mr Bosson with the attorney representing my previous employer, it seemed like things changed. He was not responsive with updates, very negative about the strength of my case, and on a few occassions he spent more time getting matters resolved relative to my previous employers concerns than he did for my own concerns. I was very unhappy with how things were going especially since he was made aware of the attorney representing my previous employer. He made comments that he and the other attorney "are the best in the Washington DC area", that my case was weak and I should settle for the minimum, and constantly argued with me about requests I made for health insurance and unemployment insurance, indicating that it never is awarded to people and I shouldnt ask for it. Ultimately, I refused the original offers and stood by my decision to pursue the matter with EEOC if necessary. As of late August the matter was finally settled and my settlement included severance as well as the insurance requests I made that he told me would never happen. As of October, I have not received an invoice from him for services since the inception of the case at the beginning of July. Three months of services have been performed, but I have not received an invoice even after I specifically requested an invoice early September. Part of the settlement negotiated was for my previous employer to pay all of my legal costs, yet Mr Bosson refused to return my retainer stating that until the final invoice is calculated it will continue to be held. I believe he is trying to keep my retainer even though legal costs were paid already thru the settlement.
