About
Divorce is cripply our society. After representing people through the divorce process for close to three decades I have discovered that there is a right way and a wrong way to proceed. It stars with your attitude and a desire for peace as opposed to strife. I have discovered how love, forgiveness and integrity can greatly influence your outcome. Our court system and yes, even the attorneys, approach the divorce process as a win/lose proposition. Of course, everyone wants to win, but that means there needs to be someone who loses. The problem with that approach is you will still need to bury the hatchet at the end of the divorce. And while you’re burying your hatchet you’ll need to try and bury all your emotions and let all the pain go as well. Believe me, without help, that’s a tall order to fill.Your decision-making should occur at the right time, after you cool off and can be forgiving; then you can emotionally make a well-thought-out decision. Have an inner circle of people you trust to go to about your decision-making, not your problems. Your friends should not be recruited because they will take your side. Those friends in all likelihood are using you for their benefit. In my old way of being, I thought more of myself and what I wanted out of the client relationship. This would naturally put me into a position of needing my client to win—my client must win, the spouse must lose, for me to feel important. This naturally resulted in me assuming the emotions of my clients. Utilizing love, forgiveness, and integrity created a new way of being for me which has resulted in joy, peace and happiness.Signed,Tim AshAuthor of Confessions of a Divorce Lawyer, learn more at confessionsofadivorcelawyer.com See my video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1py6RczifFBpdY7uHts3uQERsJh8m2cL8/view?usp=drive_webAwards: 2018, 2019, 2020 American Institute of Family Lawyers 10 BEST Attorneys.2020 American Institute of Legal Advocates ELITE ADVOCATE.2019 Laywers of Distinction Recognizing Excellence in Family Law and 2021 Lawyers of Distinction Recognizing Excellence in Family Law See Video https://www.ashandash.org/lawyers-of-distinction March 2019 Feature in Super Lawyers How important is it to Hire an Aggressive Lawyer?

Someone close to me recommended Tim for a child custody case I brought against my ex-wife. I was so happy to have found him. The attorney that handled my divorce and first child custody case let my ex-wife and her lawyer walk all over me and gave them whatever they wanted. Tim was the opposite. He took the time to meet me and my son's maternal uncle (his mother's brother) before he would even accept the case. I thought that was awesome because in reality he didn't know me or whether I was being honest in bringing a custody motion against my ex-wife. He does have a regular startup fee but asked me if I could afford it. That made me realize he is not motivated by money unlike my previous attorney. Tim was always prepared for court and never laid down and accepted what my ex-wife and her attorney wanted. He really cared what happened with my son and was a true advocate for him. I believe Tim was such a great representative for me and my son because he is such a compassionate and empathetic individual. He would spend hours preparing me and my witnesses before each hearing to try to ensure that the outcome would be in my son's best interest. I know he never charged me for all the time he would spend on my case. I don't know if this is a regular practice with Tim but I truly appreciated this because I am just a simple working class man. I feel the need to point out that Tim is an honest lawyer. I realize that lawyers often get a bad rap and most lawyers are considered dirty but Tim is not among them. He is a devout Christian and it shows. He feels that what he does is in service to God and families. I value this characteristic even though I am not a Christian and do not have the same religious beliefs. He has earned my respect and friendship for how he represented me and my son. Because of this, I have contacted Tim a couple of times since he originally represented me when I have a legal question. He would give me advice and my options over the phone and I would ask him what I owed him and his answer was "nothing" because he feels he was giving advice to a friend. Of course, my questions did not lead to a motion with family court. He is a great attorney and awesome man!! I highly recommend Tim to anyone who wants an ethical and credible attorney.
Tim Ash is an amazing Lawyer who prides himself on helping his clients. I was more than happy with him and how he makes sure to keep in contact even after the case is closed. He is someone I can trust and always turn to for help with all legal matters.
Tim provided excellent representation before, during and after my divorce. He was very professional, detail-oriented and attentive. He made a difficult time in my life a lot easier to deal with. He was able to handle any issues that arose, and responded very quickly to any concerns I had. He was available via phone, email or text message. He even made himself available to answer questions for my ex. I highly recommend him, as I know he does an excellent job for his clients.
Tim Ash has been a savior in my life, he has guided me through the most difficult time in my life and made it bearable. His professionalism and knowledge of the law I feel is only superseded by his compassion and friendly demeanor. I never felt like a client, more like a friend was helping navigate, understand and handle some very dark days. He is now a friend and I recommend him to everyone, for his service, counsel, and his personal character.
My friend at work was going through a divorce and recommended Tim as a solid attorney he had met through church. The first day I met with Tim I knew I wanted him to represent me because the first thing he asked me was how my kids(10 and 11) at the time were doing, how they would handle everything and what I felt was the most important thing in my kids lives to make sure they were whole.....he said first and foremost he would do what he and the court felt was right for my kids. With that being said, it was most important for the kids in our situation to have both parents involved in raising them to adulthood. Tim was able to use to use his skills and expertise in dealing with the divorce and the emotion and turn it into a family decision and one that has paid dividends with 50 percent custody. He helped structure a decision that was good for everyone involved and created an environment for my children and I to move on and grow as a broken family. Even though we were broken, you would never know it by talking with my children and those close to my ex and I. In the years that followed, Tim was there to point me in the right direction into my kids high school years. Whenever I came to Tim and asked his advice, he always put me back on point and asked me what is the best solution for me AND my kids. For that, I am forever thankful.
I came to Tim with a Child Custody case and after only a short period of time started to see positive results. I felt completely comfortable and confident with how he could help my case. He devoted a great amount of time and kept me well informed throughout the entire process of what was happening. He was also very easy to reach if necessary, which is not very common. Knowing that Tim is also a man of incredible faith only made this process so much easier, as I was able to completely trust in him. After many years and excellent, positive results Tim has become much more then my attorney, but a wonderful friend. I would HIGHLY recommend Tim Ash!
Tim Ash was my lawyer for my divorce. Although all divorces are difficult, my divorce not only dealt with the ending of a marriage, it also involved a bitter fight over the ownership of a family owned business. Mentally, I was secure in my decision to end my marriage and I was prepared to start a new life, but I was not willing to lose my business that I had worked so hard to build. My anxiety over the business was overwhelming. I was an emotional wreck. Tim Ash not only fought for my fair divorce, but he became my emotional rock. He helped me focus on my strength. He nurtured my fears and made me realize how much I was in control of my own divorce. He cares about his clients far more than just a pay check. He is warm, caring and dependable and also a tough and determined lawyer. I would recommend him without hesitation.
This letter is a reference for Timothy Ash P.C. I first met Tim in 2009. I was a single father just trying to do the right thing by my kids. I called Tim and explained that I saw his name and number on a car while at church. When I explain my situation to Tim including my limited resources to pay him he with no hesitation agreed to help me and my kids. Tim served me at the highest level utilizing his incredible knowledge of the law and his even more incredible love and concern for his fellow man. Tim served us with utmost professionalism and passion for both me and my kids and their mother. He was never negative or vindictive. He was never money motivated and it was evident in his approach to our case. Since then we have became good friends and Tim became one of the biggest supporters of my family after a tragic accident by youngest son. To this day Tim is the first call I make in regards to all legal matters because I know I can trust what he tells me even if it means referring me to someone else. If I was to rate Tim on a scale from 1-5 with 5 being the highest rating he would definitely be a 5. I refer others to Tim on a regular basis. Kindest Regards, LeDon
Our family has had the pleasure of hiring Tim Ash as our daughter's attorney. Our daughter needed a criminal lawyer and Mr. Ash was the perfect choice. He was meticulous and well-organized. Not only did he save her from having a record, he built a relationship with our family and helped us through a very emotional time. We are forever indebted to him for taking the time to listen to and reach our daughter, when no one else could. We are forever grateful to him for his brilliant legal counsel and for the friendship he showed to us. Kellie
I hired him for my divorce(which wasn't a very difficult one) He kept trying to push me too fight for more and stated that my husband is trying to intimate me( which wasn't true). He told me I wasn't letting him do his job and said he wasn't going to represent me. I told him, "no problem" go ahead and send my future ex husbands lawyer a letter stating that you will not be representing anymore. He actually started yelling at me about how he just had neck surgery and wasn't in the mood for this. Do your job, Tim Ash! When a client says she is in agreement with the proposal. Then that is that! You do not argue with someone who is paying you! I feel he was trying to fight for more, because it would make him more money as well.
