About
I am a previous Riverside County Public Defender who has represented thousands of defendants in a wide variety of criminal matters, and successfully litigated drunk driving throughout Southern California. I am also an active member of the National College for DUI Defense, a select group of DUI attorneys and lawyers that are dedicated to the defense of drunk driving cases. In addition, I am an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a group of criminal defense attorneys, including DUI lawyers, who are dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals accused of crimes. As a California Criminal Defense DUI Attorney, I am known for my fair yet aggressive representation, always working toward the best possible outcome for my clients. I have extensive experience in jury trials, pre-trial negotiations and discovery, and am skilled in counseling clients about the criminal trial process. I graduated from University of California at Irvine, Cum Laude and went on to Southwestern University School of Law where I completed my law degree in a 23 month accelerated program, and was the recipient of the Paul Wildman Scholarship. I began my legal career practicing medical malpractice defense at Elliot Snyder & Reid, where I successfully represented many doctors in medical malpractice suits. I also worked for the Riverside County Public Defender, where I handled hundreds of driving under the influence cases, with many successful results both as a Public Defender and a private Southern California DUI attorney. I am an outgoing personable attorney who is well-respected by judges, district attorneys, police officers, expert witnesses, and private defense lawyers around Southern California. I personally handle every case. I currently sit as a Judge Pro-Tem in the Riverside Courthouse.

Very confident attorney very great in the court room. Was arrested for three misdemeanors iAnd two were dropped. Got a dry wreckless. First attorney I ever hired. Great guy. Thank you.
I consulted with Wallin briefly in the court room after witnessing him overhear a case that the gentleman insisted to represent himself even after not suggested by the judge... Anyway, at the time a proposal was about to be passed to Dramarically decrease the amount of jail time/fees/probation period/drop charges ect.,So this guy was gonna get the book thrown at him on this day due to his frustration because of an outrageous penalty for the charge at that time, but also lack of knowledge for upcoming laws. Long story short, the dude kept refusing representation after the judge even suggested him a continuance and the dude kept saying guilty, and i cant afford a lawyer/ dont want one..etc. So Willard aftrr seeimg and hearimg all this finally walked over( i was n pue behind him) looked at him and said: dude... ask for a continuance! Thinking hes just trying to sell his service and allow the man time to save money which he clearly had no interest in started getting very frustrated and cussing, bailiff told him to go into the hallway, since the judge was being patient with his previous frustration im assuming, rather than detain him there and legally admitted guilt... So Willard excused amd apologized to his clients (being intruged and surprised no one else did the same, i followed close by pretending to text) The dude is almost in tears, just fed up amd not listening until Tom sternly says "Dude! All im saying is to ask for a 4 week continuance, by then Prop somethin will be in affect and ypur charges will drop if not completely, then just a fine and a class with zero representarion needed Sheesh!! He walks back in and i follow, and thats how i learned not to be nervous about on your first court date, and prolong the inevitable, just keep asking for a continuance untill they dont grant anymore, then mis that final court date, they give an arrest warrant but only if you get id'd by the police for any reason that is even a dui, and still get released nexf with multiple court dates now, do this 3 or 4 or 5 times till they finally call you a Fugitive and are now stuck in jail w no possible bail, flight risk, and never saved for a lawyer so no money on the books for a soup n coffe let alone an attorney.. So now im here, with multiple charges and a public defender becauae i evesdropped on an empathetic attorneys conversation which hopefully set the frustrated man straight, because i abused and worsten my situation massivley by not just hiring him that day!! And prolonging my duis, they dont go away! So Thank You Thomas for inadvertently teaching me a life lesson but also to witness a selfless/unbenificial act widely percived as uncommon to say rhe least, rather unheard of and unimaginable . ... Point is, hes a good human amd even better attorney.
I contacted Thomas Wallin’s office to discuss a possible case that I had. Mr. Wallin and his staff were very professional and personable, especially Crystal Mayer. They were always eager to answer my questions and extremely knowledgeable. Mr. Wallin also provided me with his cell phone number should I have any questions. Of course I had questions and Mr. Wallin always took time out of his busy schedule to assist me. Thomas Wallin and his staff treated me more like a friend than a client. He did such a great job with my case; I referred him to a friend. I highly recommend Mr. Wallin and his team.
Thomas Wallin and his group of staff were amazing. Always kept me up to date on all court dates and the communication was excellent. When I was nervous they always made me feel at ease. I was being charged with a DUI and a 2nd charge that had me facing 90 days mandatory in jail. They were able to work a deal with the D.A. and had gotten the 2nd charge dropped that kept me out of jail and was able to keep my job. They done more than what I had requested which was such a relief to myself and my family. I will refer any friend or family member to this law firm as they were just an amazing staff!
I have to say these people are very good at what they do.I live out of state and my case was handled professionally and in a timely manner. Now I can move on with my Life. Thanks to everyone at Thomas Wallin Law Offices.
Mr Wallin, helped me get my misdemeanor case dismissed and I had to only serve 60 hours of community service.
Mr Wallin and his staff were GREAT!!! They made everything so easy. I am very thankful. I would highly recommend this lawyer!!!
Thomas Wallin and the Wallin Group as a whole are a phenomenal legal team. I didn't know what to expect and they were able to walk me through every step of the process as we fought my DUI charges. They were always there to answer every question, no matter how insignificant it may have seemed. Mr. Wallin personally spoke with me and met with me on many occasions as did his office staff, and each and every time they treated me with dignity and respect and reassured me everything was being done to obtain the best possible outcome for my case. Crystal Broussard worked tirelessly with him and Keiava Alkire answered question after question, patiently and purposefully. This group of individuals has a passion for what they do and they truly care about their clients. This very difficult time in my life was only made easier by knowing that Thomas Wallin and The Wallin Group were working on my behalf. I just can't say enough about them. I would Highly recommend them to anyone. In the end My DUI charges were dismissed and I plead to a Reckless Driving charge, no alcohol involved. BAC .11
Mr. Wallin "saved my life". He and his staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable and caring during a time that was really frightening for me and my family. His knowledge of the DMV and court system allowed me to move on in my life with a result that was so far above my expectations. I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for Mr. Wallin's assistance during this horrible time in my life. I have come out the other side able to continue my career and move on with my life because of his help and knowledge. I recommend Mr. Wallin for anyone who is in need of a truly experienced, professional, results-oriented attorney.
Attorney Wallin and his staff are some of the most amazing people I have ever worked with. Through such a stressful time, they kept me very informed, never rushing me get off the phone, and answering all my questions. In addition, Mr. Wallin demonstrated how solid his rapport is with the entire Southern California legal system. This strong relationship ensured that I was treated fairly and just throughout my entire DUI process, and resulted in a very favorable outcome for my case. From start to finish, they were everything I could ask for. If you are looking for someone to represent you for a DUI, this is the firm to choose.
