Strangely, I learned about Tom Gullotti from my former expensive attorney when she had realized my case was overwhelming for her and that I had spent tens of thousands of dollars with her to get absolutely nowhere. She suggested I contact Tom as someone who might be able to unravel my highly unusual case which had been ongoing for over nine years! The case included my former husband’s bankruptcy court, the overturning of default judgments, years spent with a special master and all of the frustrations associated with having an unresponsive, delusional , sociopathic loser as an ex. Hundreds of thousands of dollars had been spent with some of the top legal firms in San Diego and our case had grown into an unimaginable and protracted disaster. Tom stepped into this mess with clarity, professionalism, pragmatism and an uncanny ability to ‘cut through the crap’! Tom showed an acute understanding of the human condition, an amazing understanding of the law ,and fierce and sincere desire to finally end the case. Tom’s no-nonsense, honest and straightforward approach resolved my case in a matter of months with limited further personal and financial cost to me. I cannot recommend Tom highly enough! He has saved me not only significant monies but also my sanity; and finally allowed me to move forward with my life!!

Mr. Gullotti knows the law and all of its caveats. He is thorough and made sure I completely understood every step of the process. He successfully negotiated with my spouse, which I thought was a completely impossible task. He truly had my best interest at heart! I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants the best of the best!

I hired this lawyer because of his approach; he is calm, tenacious, and straightforward. Those traits were immensely helpful with my unresponsive spouse. Yes, his office was disorganized, a factor which no one struggling through a divorce needs. But I liked him, I don't think the delays were ever due to his side of the table. And he managed to wrestle a tough situation to the ground. He keeps good control of what is going on when it gets crazy.

Tom Gullotti was terrible as my divorce attorney. What should have been a quick case was dragged out for 3 years (ex-spouse and I had no children, we had already sold our house, and we made the same amount of income). In 3 years I only got to go to court once, and that was in the very beginning when spouse was asking for spousal support. He was so unprepared for that court date, that the judge awarded my ex $2k/mo. spousal support, even though we had the same income (she even made more in some years). That was the very beginning. Then for 3 years, as my spouse intentionally dragged her feet so she could keep getting the temporary spousal support, Mr. Gullotti did NOTHING to speed up this 3 year case. Of course, every month for 3 years I had to pay him thousands of dollars a month for doing nothing, yet billing me for all kinds of things that did nothing to further my case along. He talked me into paying for expensive mediation by hiring an ex-judge to meet with us all day to try to settle the case, which did nothing. Then there were expensive depositions that did no good. And he talked me into hiring a forensic accountant to help finalize the case, and that did nothing. For 3 years I asked him to get me in front of the judge, and he was never able to get me a date in court. After 3 years I ran out of money, then my case miraculously settled, which cost me additional tens of thousands of dollars in retirement accounts to the ex because Mr. Gullotti can't negotiate. I'd say he did nothing to help make my case end, but in reality he did do something - he took me for so much money that the ex had to settle before he took everything! I would NOT hire him. His rates are cheap, but he makes up for low rates by making you pay him for YEARS!!!
