Mr. Davern did everything to help me, with a work comp injury in 2006. It's very hard to put into words all that Mr. Davern did from 2006 ( date of injury) to this year 2015). Mr. Davern took my first call, right after my work injury, and spent a lot of time listening and asking questions. He agreed right away that yes, I did have a claim against my employer and that he would be willing to take my case. My husband Dennis & I went to Mr. Davern's office, to meet him personally. After our first meeting I knew I would be ok. Mr. Davern told me to concentrate on healing, the rest he would take care of, and to call him anytime with any questions, or problems with getting the care I needed. Mr. Davern took over... After a year of seeing many medical providers, and trying different care options, my left was amputated in December 2006. After the amputation there were a lot of health care issues, as the injury exacerbated my Post Polio Syndrome greatly. We did reach a settlement in 2009 with my past employer. My medical providers, stated that I would not be able to return to work, and a permanent total disability was agreed to, and Mr. Davern than helped me obtain Social Security Disability, and start a new way of life. In 2012 I had the need to contact Mr. Davern again in regards to increased medical problems and needs that were related to the 2006 injury. Mr. Davern did not for one minute hesitate to once again help me. It was a hard fought battle, but with Mr. Daverns knowledge, listening , knowing who to contact for the different evaluations needed to best evaluate what was happening to me. At this time he called in different services to come into our home to visit with my husband & I, to see first hand what was happening, and what they would recommend as to home changes for my disability, safety needs, and help with daily living needs. Mr. Davern again put a lot of hard work into to this second claim for my injury and the exacerbation of my previous diagnosis of Post Polio Syndrome. In November 2014 we again were able to reach a settlement because of Mr. Davern's knowledge of the workers comp laws, and due diligence. Mr. Davern, is a true professional, and is the epitome of who a lawyer should be. Mr. Davern, is courteous, kind, an excellent listener, extremely knowledgeable of the work comp laws, very up front with what to expect and length of time for my case to be settled, always returned phone calls, ( I NEVER had to worry if I would get a return call), always answered my e-mails, stayed in contact with me even when he was on vacation, or on the weekends. Mr. Davern has even called me from his cabin, and e-mailed me when on vacation, even when out of the country, when there were issues going on. Would always communicate to me that he was putting items in the mail that I needed to sign, and what I needed to do. Always prepared us for upcoming depositions, and mediation, always answered our questions honestly! I could go on for ever, about how helpful and kind Mr. Davern has ALWAYS been to us. Mr. Davern's office staff, and fellow lawyers in his office are also extremely kind, knowledgeable, and helpful ! We will be forever grateful for Mr. Davern as our attorney, and how he helped us in a very challenging time in our lives. We both considered Mr. Davern as a family friend, and will always consider him as someone who touched our lives in a great way!!!
I have worked with Mr. Davern and his office on several issues since a workers compensation injury in 1991. The company administering the workers comp case pulled out all the stops to be as nasty as possible to me. All along the way Mr. Davern did what ever was necessary to minimize the stress of the experience for me. At all times I felt educated and informed about the process. And he always told me there were never any "dumb" questions. Since then his office handled some tax issues for my business and recently Dr. Davern has again come to my rescue in a personal injury case. When I mention who my attorney is at Doctors offices and Clinics I very often hear " oh we have heard good things about him". I'm sure they have! I'm 61 years old, and my Father, of course long past, always said to find yourself a good lawyer who you feel right around and whose advise you can trust. I have to say with all the negatives of a workers comp claim, Mr. Davern is the shining bright star I am so grateful to have entered my life all those years ago. Thank you for brightening all those dark days and reassuring me you would help me find a solution. You are just the best!
In the nearly thirty years I've worked with and been a client of Tom Davern's, he has proven not only to be the most skilled attorney I've known, but the most personable, honest and ethical attorney ever. I have referred many friends and colleuges to Tom and they are always very pleased with him and his performance for them. Tom is highly spoken of in his profession and has decades of proven success for his clients. You will not find a better personal injury or workers compensation attorney.
