Since 1987, I have battled on behalf of clients in all manner of cases. The majority of my experience comes in the criminal field. Murder and mayhem were my favorites, but drunks and druggies paid the bills. Since moving to Aspen Valley 12 years ago, and the wonderful lack of crime we experience , I have added divorce law to my resume. To my surprise, mayhem and murderous intent flourish in the domestic world. The biggest difference,in criminal law, your often representing bad people on their best behavior. In divorces, your representing good people on their worst behavior. I truly enjoy helping folks through trouble spots in their life. My favorite time is when I’m working a courtroom . They often say attorneys are just frustrated actors, and I can’t disagree with that premise. A marriage is like a deck of cards, in the beginning you have diamonds and hearts, in the end , you want clubs and spades.

I was referred to Tom Adgate, as a single father I was dealing with a non compatible mother Tom helped me got into a perfect parenting plan that is in the best interest of the child, she be able to finish high school and receive her diploma. Tom unstands his clients and is honest 5 stars don't even justify a score for him it should be a 10 I recommend Tom Adgate to anyone who is having anyone divorce custody issue he can and will help,,,,, Thank you Tom William
Tom Adgate is sloppy and unprofessional. He was warned by the judge in our case due to very poor evidence documentation. He missed delivery of a summons to a witness, resulting in a delay and continuation in our case...and the lawyers get more money, while we miss more work! You could not pay me enough to use or be associated in any way shape or for with Tom Adgate, Carbondale, CO. Sloppy, unprofessional, scheduled "in court" with every one else for another trial date, only to "figure it out" 2 weeks later, that "he" had scheduled 2 trails on the same date! Tom Adgate's cross examination: he fails COMPLETELY to ask closed end questions (where the hell did you go to law school Tom???) allowing the person questioned to make a speech in response to his questions.
