Ted Hess served in Vietnam as a Marine infantry commander. The Marines sent him to law school in 1975. He went on to serve as a prosecutor, defense lawyer, staff judge advocate, senior military judge, and the top lawyer in the Marine Corps.  In 1993 and 1994, he handled two U.S. Supreme Court cases for the military.  He left the Marines in 2000 as a brigadier general.  Since arriving in Colorado in 2000, he has taken more cases to trial than any other Western Slope attorney.  In 2005, he started an immigration practice.  In 2008, he established Hess & Schubert, LLP, with his partner, Bill Schubert.  Hess & Schubert, LLP, represents people in criminal, immigration, personal injury, and civil cases.
