I do not understand the negative reviews for Ms. Bristow as she was extremely kind, knowledgeable, prompt and respectful of my situation. Her staff is super friendly and went above and beyond to help me when she was unavailable from the beginning to the end. She kept me informed every step of the way and even emailed me after hours when I was having a hard time with my husband on one occasion. In court she was amazing and never backed down. Every hurdle my husbands attorney tried to throw at me and my case, she was there to fight for me. Hopefully I will not need an attorney again, but if I do I will definitely go back to Ms. Bristow. After it was all said and done, my ex even said that he was upset that his attorney didn't fight as hard for him and wasn't as good as mine!
I utilized Ms. Bristow for a divorce and related cases. Her representation was the best in town. My experience was so positive that I referred two friends to her as well. Those two had equally good experiences and actually thanked me for helping make a difficult situation a little better. You would be well served to speak with Ms. Bristow about your case.
I found this lawyer to be top notch and highly affordable during my divorce. I even recommended her to my sister and several coworkers who have been very satisfied. I found e-mail to her and her office staff to be the most effective form of communication since she is probably so busy from word of mouth no doubt. when it comes to trust I would trust her with any matter when it comes to my Kids and that speaks volumes. Divorce is no picnic, but she made it less painful for sure.
She aggressively represented me in a child support matter in and out of court. She has handled several family matters for me and every outcome was exactly what she expected. If you follow her advice you will get exactly what she says she can do. Sometimes it can take several years to follow her advice to get what you want, but you will win. I see some negative reviews which are not fair. She returns calls when something is important and needs to be relayed to you so remember every call she returns costs the client. So think of it she is saving you money and using the cost where it counts; representing you! Also remember she is a professional attorney, not a therapist. If you need constant hand holding call your mother. If you want to win your case call Teresa. I have had Teresa handle 4 major family matters and all came out exactly how she said it would. My children and I have never been happier.
If you follow her advice, you will get what you’re fighting for. I used her for three services, divorce, child support, and guardianship. Granted it took a long time (2) years for all issues to resolve, but I followed her advice and I have my children and we are so happy. She is very knowledgeable of family law issues and does not blow smoke and she has no problem going being vocal in the courtroom. She will definitely speak up during court for you. There is so much to say but not enough room. Her rates are competitive and reasonable. I thank God for her help, because without her my children would be miserable still. This is neither a fake post nor an employee of hers. I am a former client.
Teresa helped me with complete my divorce by agreement. It was fast, easy and she helped us avoid going to court. I would recommend her to anyone.
Great lawyer and she's very knowledgeable. I hired her 3 years ago and I will recommend her to my freinds.
Everything was done quickly and I was always kept up to date as to what was going on. Her staff is friendly and knowledgable as well.
It takes days, if not weeks to get a call or email back. The level of unresponsiveness is ridiculous given what I paid her. I would email and call and ask for a simple call back, and could not get one for weeks, even though it was to answer a simple question. I don't know if her case load is too big, or she just doesn't care about her clients, but either way, it's unprofessional and rude to not respond to a client who is paying you to keep them informed.
I'm not surprised to see that she has been suspended. I hired her several years back and meant to file a complaint, but never did. We made no progress on my divorce case because she didn't do anything. Then it got to the point she wouldn't return my calls or emails so I had to start over with someone new. I see on the State Bar site that that there might be some mitigating factors, but when/if she comes back, I hope that she makes her clients her #1 priority. Attorneys are expensive enough, and wasting clients' time, money and emotional distress in the manner she did should never be allowed to happen.
