About
Ms. Anderson's primary area of practice includes Criminal Law, and Criminal Litigation, both general and complex litigation. She has an emphasis on DUI defense and DUI administrative hearings.Ms. Anderson completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida in 2002 with a dual degree in history and criminology with honors. She also received a minor in secondary education. While attending the University of Florida, she was on the Dean's List of Distinguished Students in Spring 2001 and Spring 2002. Also, she was a member of Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed service fraternity, and held several leadership positions. Ms. Scudder received her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in December of 2005. While there, she received the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award and the Victor O. Wehle Trial Advocacy Award. While in school, she was a member of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, in which she held a leadership position.Prior to joining Epstein & Robbins in January 2009, Ms. Anderson worked for the Office of the Public Defender 4th Judicial Circuit in Jacksonville, Florida from 2006 to 2009. At the Public Defender's Office, she handled a range of cases from municipal code violations to misdemeanors while in County Court. Ms. Anderson was the first attorney in the circuit to successfully defend a DUI at trial using the video surveillance video from the Duval County Jail. In Circuit Court, she handled cases ranging from third degree felony charges to first degree felony charges, some of which were punishable by life. She was also instrumental in the introduction and training of new attorney's to both County and Circuit Courts.Ms. Anderson relocated to Pinellas County in 2012 and resumed her work at the Office of the Public Defenders in the 6th Judicial Circuit. She continues to provide CLE training to younger attorneys learning DUI law. Ms. Anderson handles primarily felony criminal cases ranging from driving charges to homicides.
