Tara was a GREAT lawyer! She fought hard for my personal rights as a woman and mother and took my mental health very seriously by truly understanding the dark side of what custody battles can do to your health. She fought hard against other professionals and made my voice heard. Highly recommend her!!
Tara and her team were wonderful to work with. She is friendly, professional and easy to do business with.
9 years and 2 children into my marriage, I was miserable. I felt like I needed to always stand in the background of my relationship shaking my head “yes” to everything and pretending to happy when inside, I was screaming. After one failed lawyer, I went to a family friend whom practices law in Virginia and said “I need a woman lawyer. Someone who can hold her own on my behalf. Someone who can stare my Ex in the eye and say all the things I’ve never had the guts to say..” his response; “sounds like you need Tara..” from there, I knew that she not only would have my back, but would be the sole reason that I sprouted a backbone. There were so many times where I would see a chain of emails between she and opposing counsel (if you could even call it that.) and as I was reading through the responses, I would shout “THATS RIGHT! YOU TELL THEM!” I even had the honor of sitting next to her while she adamantly fought on my behalf. She was far from a 9-5 lawyer. Any time I felt concern or had questions, she was right there to explain the process and give me realistic goals. She gave me the strength to stop shaking my head "yes" and start saying "No, Im not ok with that." Along side Ms. Hatcher, I also got the joy of Ms. Donna. She too would always be a pleasant voice on the other end of the line that would be calming when I needed it, as well as a chuckle to lighten me up right when I felt like I was loosing it. In my opinion, then both created the dream team, and never stopped working on my behalf. Any time I would call, they knew exactly where we were in the case and never felt like I was just some name on the docket. I was represented, I was protected, I was cared for, and I was, and will forever be, a friend of these two ladies. To whomever is reading this review in an effort to decide if Ms. Hatcher is right for you... she is! You will not regret getting her on your team. In the courtroom, and in life, Ms. Hatcher, and Ms. Donna will have your back. As I said earlier, I can 100% credit these ladies to my newly found backbone and voice that is capable of finally saying “No.” Thank you ladies for everything.
Unfortunately for me, I've had to hire Ms. Hatcher multiple times since my separation and divorce. I believe Ms. Hatcher has a great approach when helping her clients. She's honest and straight forward. She doesn't tell you what you want to hear or promise you that she can get you something when she knows she can't. She's not like a lot of attorneys out there that will promise the world, just to make a buck. I think she's very fair as far as the retainer fee as well. Her legal assistant is great too. They both respond back to me in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this practice.
Tara is very competent and she provided excellence guidance throughout the whole process. She was also more interested in resolving the case as quickly as possible instead of accumulating billable hours.
Ms. Hatcher was an order taker and was not proactive in my case. I had to follow-up with her quite a bit to push the opposing attorney to get things filed, etc. She was intimidated by opposing attorney as well and did not represent me well.

Donna. Ms. Hatcher was an order taker and was not proactive in my case. I had to follow-up with her quite a bit to push the opposing attorney to get things filed, etc. She was intimidated by opposing attorney as well and did not represent me well.
