Much gratitude to Susan for guiding me through a very sensitive and complex child custody situation. She consistently provided guidance that promoted what was best for my child, while putting me at ease during the process. Susan saved me money, time, and heartache. I appreciate her hard work and dedication to my unique case. Thank you Susan!

Susan is the best and efficient lawyer I could have ever asked for. I live out of state but I am from Michigan, and it was so easy to communicate with her through phone, email and zoom. She helped me get out of a divorce easily even though Covid made some setbacks. Being in the Military sometimes can make things difficult when trying to get divorced but Susan helped and came up with a game plan right away that fit my work schedule as well. Her legal assistant Brittany also is a great part of her team that helped answer questions along the way.

Susan handled my divorce. I can not tell you which well advertised law firm (more like cash cow) my ex hired but all they did was bleed us dry with fees. My outcome was similar to what was originally predicted by Susan but ultimately the law fees were high due to the other firms unwillingness to negotiate with integrity. I had one attorney recommend that I make my wife pay her fair share of the bills while we were settling the divorce. While that most likely would have resulted in a more fair but temporary financial improvement, Susan pointed out that between attorney fees, the added time, and the resentment that would potentially lead to, it would not be a practical approach nor would there ultimately be any real financial benefit. I could go on and on about how many times she steered me in the right direction and how much money I saw my ex waste on the other firm charging for phone messages let for client, internal attorney to attorney consultations, etc. Why would a good attorney need to consult with their coworker piers if they knew what they were doing? Even if they did ask a fellow attorney for an opinion why would they charge for it as it is an admission to either not knowing what they are doing or their lack of confidence in what they are doing? You should be hiring a attorney like Susan with years of valuable experience not a firm that will assign you to a junior attorney that is not allowed to do anything without consulting with the senior attorneys that have more experience. A team of attorneys sounds great in theory but one good attorney with supportive office staff and a great partner is much more valuable. Know who you are hiring. Check how long they have been in practice. I highly recommend interviewing multiple attorneys before anyone makes a decision on who to hire but I also recommend that Susan be one of them.

Susan is a great attorney. Over the last 5 years, she's represented me several times. She's always prepared, which means a lot, in a very stressful court situation. She does a thorough job of walking you through the process and giving you straight forward advice on what to expect...even if it's not what you want to hear. I wish I had hired her from the beginning of my divorce process!

Advertises mediation services, avoiding family court through alternatives. Had an important case with extensive documentation with an emergency where I needed legal advice, was assured by office staff she was definitely interested and was merely reviewing my case, made sure the day before to send her a summary of what I wanted, and within a few minutes she became hostile and said "what is it that you wanted?" when I flabbergasted told her what I wanted was what was in my correspondence, someone to help me enforce my custodial rights under clear law, and negotiate something without having to necessarily go by the judge, and navigate tricky situations in a hostile climate. Got a rude "not interested." Asked for a referral. She had none. She and her office staff wasted my time during a very traumatic time for me and my chldren. Wasted my time and was rude. Her staff was nice but obviously not telling the truth, she had not reviewed any materials before talking to me. I suspect an an anti-Male/.anti-Father bias, common in too many attorneys these days.
