I was referred to Susan Gibbs regarding a unique and complicated case, one which another lawyer said "you have about 19 moving parts here." She was a careful listener and her written communications were well organized, articulate, and excellent. She helped think through options, which required creativity as well as legal expertise. I also very much appreciated how she "knew what she didn't know" and reached out to an impressive network of colleagues (including via pro bono work with blue chip nonprofits). Her rates were, relatively speaking, more than reasonable.
Susan Gibbs has deep knowledge of the subject areas I've needed legal representation with. As a participant in more than one software services start-up, over the years, I've seen reason to seek experienced guidance putting things in order, both on the business and personal sides of life. Negotiating web development contracts, drafting separation agreements, and generally lending the voice of reason, are deliverables you can rely on her for. Her fees are reasonable, and she's responsive under time pressures. You can also depend on her to push back when you're barking up the wrong tree, and to refer you to one of her colleagues, should you ask about subjects that lie outside her areas of expertise.
I called Susan Gibbs Law office looking for legal help. I scheduled appointment and prepaid $700 as a retainer for future services over the phone. Susan Gibbs promised to consult me on my employment contract. When we met with Susan Gibbs at her home office for the consultation I quickly realized that she is not qualified for the job and could not answer multiple main questions. Our meeting continued for 30 minutes then I terminated it due to her lack of knowledge and experience on the matter. I offered to pay for $200 for 30 minutes time of our meeting although I have not received anything valuable from it. My offer was only out of respect to my time since I did not wanted to waste more of it in disputes. For some nonsense reason Susan Gibbs came up with 1.2 hours of billable time plus she wanted to charge for the time we argued about the bill. Now deputing full amount with my credit card company.
