I've been a practicing lawyer for 37 years, specializing in all areas of civil litigation. I enjoy working personally with my clients; I don't have paralegals who do that for me. All communications involving a case are between my clients and me, personally; my staff is involved only in clerical work and scheduling matters, and things like that. I try to be available at all reasonable times, and I answer all questions to the best of my ability. I pride myselfl on my ethics. If I don't feel that I can handle a case and do right by my client - such as tax and patent cases - I'll refer the client to other attorneys I'm sure can handle the matter professionally and with expertise. If I don't believe that a client has a meritorious case, I advise him or her not to sue. If I believe there is a good case, then I'll fight like hell to get my client everything he or she deserves. But I'll never advise suing just to earn myself a fee. I've never practiced that way, and I never will. My fees depend on the type of case, the amount in dispute, the complexity of the anticipated litigation, and other such matters. All fees are set forth in a written retainer agreement filed with the NYS Office of Court Administration, where appropriate.. I will never promise a client a result. No responsible or reputable lawyer ever will. I will promise, if I undertake to represent you, that I will do my very best to provide you with my best skills and efforts, that I will work my hardest for you, and that I will consult with you before undertaking actions on your behalf, All settlement proposals will be communicated to you, and explained to you, in full. Susan is an excellent attorney. She handled my divorce case and preserved my dignity while getting me a fabulous settlement. We got to the brink of trial (as Susan predicted) before my ex folded and disclosed the assets he had hidden. She is a scary litigator. I'm glad she was .on my side. She hung in there, despite bad rulings from the judge. She was always ethical, professional, carried herself with poise and professional, and I'm glad I didn't have another lawyer. I've recommended her to my friends, and no one's sorry they used her. Later she handled my son's DWI and got him off .despite a prior. She's a miracle worker
