Hired Attorney Hamilton a year ago to help me with the legal issues with my parents Will and home in Maine. This guy has disapeared now 3 seperste times and now after 2 months of unreturned calls the other attorney is filing his case and I stand to lose over 250k because Attorney Hamilton has not responded to either myself or the Estate Attorney in months. Did not respond or ever let me know about important certified letters of demand from the other party and has ignored phone calls, emails and texts from myself and the other party in months. WTF? This is not how a Big Sudbury Massachusetts Attorney should conduct buisness! Now I am stuck on my own, just getting over Thyroid Cancer Surgury and helpless. I am going to lose my home in Maine to my Sister because of this Man! Be warned before you decide to hire this so called Attorney! Eric
We got to the very end of the process of putting together our wills, and were so far along in the process that we needed only to review the final copies and sign them, when Mr. Hamilton stopped responding to our attempts to contact him. He re-surfaced briefly promising to get things done when I emailed to say we would have to look elsewhere if we didn't hear back after several months of attempting to contact him. That was over six months ago, and we still haven't heard back. Not sure what is going on, but I could never recommend his services for these reasons. Too bad, as he had come recommended to us by family. I'm glad we had not yet paid him.
My husband and I visited Mr. Hamilton in early July to start the process of rewriting our will, and after taking down all our information he said we would hear back from him in six to eight weeks. We were very pleased by his attention to detail and the knowledge of estate planning he expressed during our visit. But it's now been three months, and he has not answered either my e-mail or phone calls to find out our status. I have no idea whether he is actually working on our will. I don't want to hire a new lawyer, until I know he hasn't actually performed any services for us as yet.
