He's experienced in diverse legal topics, from administrative to tax law, but focuses on family law in his practice where he regularly represents clients in divorces, child custody disputes, guardianhips, and adoptions. Beyond these areas, Steven provides estate planning and landlord-tenant services.

Steven helped me navigate quite a few stressful situations in a calm and professional manner. I recommend him highly.
We have become the legal guardians of a young relative in need of a home thanks to Steven's excellent work. It was a bit complicated with several parties having to agree. Steven listened to us carefully, communicated with all parties and submitted the paperwork to the court. Even in this age of Covid the guardianship was completed in a reasonable time. We are continuing our relation with Steven and will have him develop a new will for us now that we have a minor child in our care. We are certain he will do an excellent job there also.
He was very on top of all aspects of what I needed for myself and child in my divorce. He worked quickly to get it resolved in a timely manner and always had my best interest in mind.
Steve had very little time to prepare, thankfully I had all my ducks in a row and just needed some support and guidance along the way. And that is exactly what he did for me. He was very helpful and answered all my questions along the way. I did win my custody case. I am very thankful for his help. And would consider his representation on the future if needed.
Steven was amazing. He was very communicative and his billing process was very transparent.
Steven Mastanduno represented me on my case with less then a week to prepare making sure I wasn’t treated unfairly and put a stop to the unjust actions that were being brought upon me.
Steven is very knowledgeable and effective. He was highly recommended to me and deservedly so. He gets to the point, works with all parties and gets results. He was successful in getting a good result when an attorney from a big law firm had given up on my situation.
Steven was a great resource for me when I was organizing my estate. I needed someone to walk me through the basics of those legal documents and encourage me to plan for the future. He asked many important questions and made sure that we had everything covered. I met the other associates at his law practice and would feel comfortable with them handling other issues too, like preparing a prenuptial agreement or family legal troubles. Nate H. Jones specifically is really considerate and has impeccable communication skills that could mitigate a tense family or employment legal situation. I like that this practice offers a wide range of legal assistance (with the exception of criminal) so that I do not have to search for a different kind of lawyer each time I need one. Their flexibility also extends to the nature of their appointments because Steven was willing to meet me anywhere I wanted in the Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, Marion, and Polk county areas. He failed to do a disposition and did not prep me for court when I had no experience at all being in that situation. He said he did high conflict divorce/custody battles, but turns out he barely had any experience and was a deer in the headlights during court and failed to even cross examine my ex without my help. He didnt bother to meet in person except for once when meeting for first time. He was misinformed about the law also and advised me incorrectly in turn. There were a lot of incompetence on his part and negligence. He also has a reputation I find out after finding my new lawyer that he is lazy and doesnt do any work. I see it. Find someone else.
I hired Mr. Mastanduno to represent me in a landlord-tenant case. I lost the case because Mr. Mastanduno failed in many ways. He did not object to the introduction of a video that according to law, had to be approved by the people in it. He neglected to contact my witness the police officer in a timely manner so that his testimony, though heard by the judge, could not be used to turn the case around. He forgot to respond to the counterclaims completely and my case was almost immediately dismissed. He allowed the key witness in my case to stay in the courtroom so that he could no longer be called to counter the opposing testimony. I didn't know there were that many errors to be made! He then still refused to refund my money. Mr. Mastanduno should learn to be responsible if he makes an error and not allow his clients to lose money based on his incompetence. I am always willing to forgive someone if they take responsibility, but this was not the case. Even the opposing counsel said that they would testify that his representation was malpractice if I took it to trial. Unfortunately, that would cost me upwards of 25, 000 dollars.
