Steve managed my grandmother's estate through probate. He was punctual and knowledgeable. He also has managed our wills and did a great job. Came to my house when I couldn't travel too.

This attorney was referred to us by friends, thinking he would be reputable, this was not the case. It took years for Mr. Kulas to settle a car accident case. My husband was injured, and Mr. Kulas did not speak up for him at any point. My husband would have to retrieve all his medical records, insurance information, etc. When it was time for a Deposition, Mr. Kulas could not make it because he claimed he had family issues and this prolonged the case. When Mr. Kulas finally appeared in court, he did not defend my husband's medical bills and claims at all. Mr. Kulas took the side of the insurance company. My husband received less than what his medical bills amounted to, and this is due to Mr. Kulas not representing his client, he did not go above and beyond at any point and appeared to do nothing to represent his client. If you need a personal injury attorney, make sure you read reviews, and know if the attorney is willing to work in your best interest.

For more than 4 years our family has awaited the settlement of a relative decedant's estate, within the portion of uncontested, unclaimed accounts with the state treasury department. We have provided this attorney with information, have supported, have encouraged, have politely asked, and lately, prodded him to resolve this matter. We have all had to hire additonal attorneys to get him to do his job. He has acted in a careless, ineffective and unknowledgeable manner. He has not communicated adequately to any party involved, has not provided us with backup documentation, and used sorry excuses. He has raised more issues with his own credibility than one requires to cause serious doubt in his ability. He told a few of us "that we would have a hard time with getting our inheritance from the State Treasury dept, as they are using our money for other things". Every other laywer we have spoken to says this is impossible and a call to the state treasury dept. has confirmed this as well. Furthermore we have questions about the probate system and the way it works. We have asked the judge to remove this attorney as fiduciary fully knowing he has shown up to probate hearings without records, or even a pen, while one benificiary has made her way from Maine to CT for these monthly hearings. We have asked for permission to speak with the state regarding all claims, to this date this attorney has not fullfilled this request while we require his permission. This attorney has called attention to himself in negative ways, raising issues of competency and trust. We have been informed by our additional counsel that this simple matter regarding this estate could have been settled easily by any of us within an average 30 day period. The value of investmest opportunities we could have made on this money has been lost as well.
