About

MacGuidwin is a trial lawyer, practicing in the finance, healthcare, and technology industries.  In 2013, he secured the second largest judgment in Michigan ($6.1 million) in Hi-Lex Controls Inc. v. Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Michigan.  He defended the judgment on appeal, including before the U.S. Supreme Court.  For his achievements, he was recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. MacGuidwin served as a federal law clerk for the Honorable Raymond W. Gruender of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit after graduating first in his class from the Michigan State University College of Law.  He holds an MBA in finance from Michigan State University and a BS in computer science from the University of Michigan. MacGuidwin serves as president of Habitat Young Professionals (Habitat for Humanity) and vice president of the Federalist Society - West Michigan Chapter.
