In 2004 I hired Mr. Hyder to pursue a Family & Medical Leave case for me. I was fired from my job for simply attempting to go to the doctor to obtain certification for FMLA leave. He charged me $1,200 to prepare the Complaint for Court; it was 25 pages and was thoroughly done. The case was a contingency case, which means he was to get a third of any money obtained. I had to pay for the depositions. He worked his tail off. He took 8 or 9 depositions. The company tried to get the case thrown out, said the evidence was not strong enough. The court said "no, we are going to trial". The company settled for $75,000 and I believe that the attorneys for the company did not want to tangle with Stephen Hyder. We had too much on them. Mr. Hyder discovered that their reasons for firing me simply did not hold water. That they were a bunch of bald face liars!! Mr. Hyder really worked my case and I would not have won without his hard work.
