Our situation was rather unique as I hired Steve to represent my Brother in Law for a DUI who had dementia. I live in Texas and with the pandemic it made it impossible to travel to Washington State. Shortly after the DUI, we had to admit my brother in law to a Memory Care Facility. Steve worked diligently with the prosecutor, providing him with supporting documentation of the deterioration in my Brother In Law's physical and mental condition. He was able to get an "Order of Dismissal Without Prejudice". Steve was an excellent communicator and available 24/7 if we needed him. It was such a blessing to have someone like Steve fighting the legal battle for us especially during such a stressful time. Much thanks and praise to Steve and I would highly recommend him.
When looking for an attorney for a DUI, I called Steve at 6:30 on a Sunday morning--Mother's Day, no less. I didn't leave a voicemail, so I was surprised when Steve called me back at 7:00 am. After talking with him, a sense of calm came over me because Steve was so clearly experienced, respectful, compassionate, encouraging, supportive, dedicated, and receptive and responsive to every question I asked. And throughout the entire process, he responded to every call and text. His zealous advocacy was effective and his sage counsel was always a calming influence. I can't thank him enough for all that he has done for my family.
I was charged with a DUI back in March 2019 and I thought my life was over. I thought I had no shot and my life would be ruined by a terrible decision I made. That is until I found Steve Hayne. From my initial consultation I knew I was in the best hands possible. Steve not only offers the best DUI representation in the State, but he is also a very compassionate man that cares deeply about the people he represents. Steve was able to get my DUI reduced to reckless driving (which I didn't think would be possible AT ALL). Everyone looking for a DUI attorney is obviously going through a rough spot in their life, but if you are lucky enough to come across Steve's page give him a call and he will make you feel better!
I hired Steve back in 2016. This review is long over due. He advised me and guided me through the very difficult process of a DUI charge. His advice changed my life. Even to this day I can call with a question and he is always happy to help. I can’t say or thank him enough.
He was very thorough, great attention to detail, and got me a good result in that no DUI and reduced negligent from 1st degree to 2nd degree.
I highly recommend you employ Stephen Hayne for your legal problems. He is a compassionate and knowledgeable attorney, with tremendous Experience. Mr. Hayne will listen, answer all your questions and carefully guide you through the legal maze of DUI representation. Stephen Hayne was my attorney and we were very successful. We all make mistakes-don't make another one....hire Mr. Hayne.
I was referred to Stephen Hayne for DUI defense by a really good friend who serves as managing director of one of the top three law firms in Seattle. He had told me that Steve was his "go-to guy" , and that of many colleagues and friends because of his decades of DUI experience and successful outcomes. As a Stanford Law graduate myself, I think it is funny that many people don't realize that the best lawyer's out there are specialists in a specific type of practice. Ex. I work in maritime law and compliance, but i still have asking me for assistance with their divorce, landlord/tenant dispute etc. If you have been charged with a DUI, you need to not just look for any lawyer, but instead, a true expert in DUI defense. I have had more than five friends realize extremely successful outcomes from this firm. When you want a good lawyer, don't pick the firm that comes up first in the search rankings . Instead, ask the best lawyer you know who they would choose if they were looking for DUI defense. I guarantee, 4 out of 5 (or even 5/5), would name Diego and Steve at the Law Firm of Steven Hayne. Since hiring Mr. Hayne to defend me, i have been really impressed by his: -experience and knowledge level; -familiarity with judges and prosecutors involved; -his ongoing active interest in my case; -the ability to reach out to him via cell anytime with any questions i had about my case(s); and, -his patience and consideration in explaining all my options and related outcomes. **Best of all, unlike almost every other lawyer, Steve offers you a flat fee. ( For this caliber of lawyer, that is incredibly rare). After I was charged with DUI, I really felt like my life was over. I contemplated losing my professional licenses and the benefits of over 12 years of advanced education. From the moment Mr. Hayne took over my representation, I knew things were going to be okay. I felt like a 1000 lb weight had been taken off my chest. I stopped stressing out at work and at home. He is so great at what he does, he is even successful at taking on complicated cases (i.e. those who may be dealing with their 2nd + DUI etc.) Once you meet Mr. Hayne, you will understand immediately why he is the most recognized, awarded and esteemed DUI lawyer in the Greater Puget Sound. Wall to wall, his beautiful (albeit understated office,) reflects his position as the Seattle expert in Seattle DUI defense. I totally understand that being charged with a DUI sucks, However, i have gone thru multiple cases with the assistance of Mr. Hayne. The results/outcomes he has achieved have made me a believer in the idea, that getting charged with a DUI, doesn't have to ruin your life or make life unlivable.
Stephen's expertise is exceptional! He shared insights about entire process, told me what I needed to know, and set me up for success in making this nightmare go away.
Steve’s reputation is what it is for many reasons. First off, he answered the phone when I called from the holding cell on a Friday evening. He then took me through what was happening and how to manage each step of the process. Because of my prior charges I was required to spend the night in jail but he then answered the phone again when I called him Saturday morning. WOW! After retaining his services he had me released at my preliminary hearing with no conditions when the Seattle City Prosecutors’ Office was trying to throw the book at me. He cited the DUI statute without hesitation to the presiding judge like he could say it in his sleep. He ran circles around the prosecutor and a thumbs up from the bail bondsman while pointing at Steve reaffirmed to me that he had done a good job. A criminal charge can add a lot of stress to one’s life for many reasons and Steve was ALWAYS available to talk me off the ledge. Finally, he negotiated a dismissal of my charge with prejudice with the Prosecutor’s Office. Steve is the hardest working and most knowledgeable attorney I have ever met. I would recommend Steve or one of the attorney’s in his office to any one of my friends or family. When I asked a local prosecutor who I should retain for services him and another attorney in his office were named off a short list of highly qualified DUI defense attorneys.
Stephen is really sharp, direct, and very experienced. He communicates clearly and inspires confidence. Getting a DUI can be extremely disruptive to one's life and cause immense anxiety. Stephen's support and reassurance was integral for me, not only in securing my deferred prosecution status, but also helping me navigate and manage the demands of nursing school and conquer any hurdles that arose. I was lucky to have know someone who recommended him. He made my journey through this difficult process bearable. I would highly recommend hiring him to represent you.
