About
Stephanie Hall is an associate attorney in the firm’s family law practice group. She focuses her practice on all areas of family law, including divorce, child support, custody and visitation (allocation of parental responsibilities), orders of protection, adoption and division of assets. Stephanie is a court approved guardian ad litem for the Sixth Judicial Circuit.Stephanie is an experienced litigator and has successfully completed numerous trials, both in front of a judge and a jury. She is also an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois College of Law, where she coaches the competitive Trial Team.Before joining Meyer Capel, Stephanie spent two years as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Champaign County State’s Attorney’s Office. During that time, Stephanie headed the felony domestic battery unit, where she handled cases involving violence against both adults and children. She has 40 hours of specialized training in domestic violence issues.Stephanie previously practiced family law in Cook County, Illinois as a Maxwell Fellow at the Legal Assistance Foundation. During her time there, she represented low-income survivors of domestic violence in a wide variety of family law cases.Stephanie attended Michigan State University’s James Madison College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. She attended law school at the University of Illinois, where she earned a prestigious Rickert Award for Excellence in Advocacy.Stephanie is an active member of the Champaign County Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the East Central Illinois Women’s Attorney’s Association. She serves on the Board of Directors of Girls Go For It and is a member of Junior League.
